Acceptance via phone call from Dr. Reside (my interviewer) at 8:02 AM (OOS, NJ)!

Which Dr. Reside? Dr. Glenn Reside is the father and Dr. Johnathon Reside is the one who welcomed us at the start of the day.

I first got a call from Dr. Glenn Reside (the oral surgeon, father) in the morning. I just got a call a few minutes ago from Dr. John Reside (son, in admissions) congratulating me again, which was very nice!

It's all good guys, hopefully you all received an acceptance elsewhere. In the end, becoming a dentist to provide care for those in need is the important part. Your education is what you make of it 🙂

Someone accepted today said they were told they were calling 70 people today.

I highly doubt that they would waitlist you because you’re missing some prereqs. I’m in Organic I now and still have to take Organic II next semester. This would also definitely not be a reason for rejection. I would try to update your profile with your fall grades as soon as you get them in. Those could help you if you’re waitlisted.

They've had a January interview before, so I guess they decided to bring it back, any current students can correct me but I believe it's only for a small amount of underrepresented students that applied.

That gives everyone in here some hope, it did feel weird yesterday bc by end of day I hadn't heard of many people getting in, and I go to UNC so I figured if they filled the class me and my friends would've heard more ppl get in from here. Also thanks for the info!

Idk I wanna trust the student, I've met some of them and they don't seem like the ppl that would try to deceive us, but the person you heard from did get it from an interviewer so now I'm troubled

Plot twist, they filled 70 spots, which happens to be half the class cause they're expanding to 140 bc of that donation they got this year

In past years they mail you a letter letting you know you're an alternate, but idk how or when it'll be this year if the class isn't full

Who knows with how this year is going lol! I would assume at the latest in January.
