Me three!Me too! See you there!
My GPA was verified August 18, so that is when my entire application was complete. When was your application completed and marked as "under review"?!
In stateAre you in state or out of state?
Just got invited for the October 10th interview!
Does anyone know if I can email those two forms back or must they be mailed or faxed?
Also what was the interview format? Individual or group? One interviewer or two or three? One interview session or more?

Congrats! When was your mail-out date? And are you IS or OOS?
Almost all of the people I met at the October 10 interviews were in-state applicants. How was the interview today? Are there more in state or OOS students?
Anyone know if UNC is still extending OOS pre-december interview invites?
Cool thanks. So they only do interviews before december? The last UNC interview is in November. I don't know if invites are out yet but if not then there is still a chance.
Do you mind sharing what your gpa and dat score are? Trying to get a sense of what the "lower end" is. Thanks! They don't publish info on average GPA or dat for those interviewed. Just those accepted. I know that my numbers were on the lower end of those interviewed for sure just by chatting w other people/friends/pre-dentistry club
Does anyone know who is the director of the admission committee?
Do you mind sharing what your stats are?Thank you so much! I have not received interview from UNC or ECU. My application was completed in early July. I am worried something wrong with my application.
Lol with my luck they already went out. Oh well. Bye UNCSo anxious for November interview invites.... any day now![]()
December 1st is the earliest date of acceptance at any school.Has anyone gotten accepted from the September interviews?
did anyone ask how the decision process is for unc once you get an interview?
my gpa is slightly lower than their average but i feel like my interview went really really well, that's why i was askingDecision process? You mean how does the school decide who they let in?
I know they give each interviewee an "interview score" based on their interview performance. Although the interviewees never get to see this score, I believe the school weighs it heavily: during my interview, a faculty member showed us a PowerPoint slide that showed the averaged GPA, DAT, Interview, etc. scores of matriculates for the Class of 2019 and the average interview score was ~8.9/9 (the scale runs 7-9, 7 being the lowest and 9 being the highest score).
I'm sure they're looking for well-rounded students in general, but it seems like the interview is very important to their admission decisions.

Bad news: nearly every interview goes really, really well - the average interview score is 8.9 out of 9. That means that the interview isn't really a chance to help your application, it's only an opportunity to hurt it.

Do they send out interviews in batches? You guys…we're getting closer and closer 😱 ! Anytime this week if the calculations are correct! I have so much anxiety now that I need a good run haha
I think you may have misunderstood my post: the average store of matriculates (aka those accept their admission offer) is 8.9/9, not the average score of all interviewees. I'm sure they hand out 7's and 8's to those who don't do as well.
I don't think the interview can only hurt you; quite the opposite, actually. But I'm sure it varies on a case-by-case basis.
So yes, a good interview helps in the sense that it keeps you in the game. But (and this is just my opinion) I don't think a superb interview moves you up the ranks, so to speak, so much as it holds you in place while other people might be sliding down.
I guess that's a pretty fine distinction to make, and doesn't change anything practically (a good interview is a good thing). It's just how I think of it.
I'm going to request that you intentionally say something dumb/funny since UNC barely takes anyone anyway haha. But congrats!!!YEP! See you all Nov 7.. then watch for me to post on "Worst Interview Answers" Thread!!! hahaha
See you there!! 🙂GOT MY INTERVIEW!!!! AHHHAAAAAAAA!!!!!@!
Does anyone know what is the style of the interview? 1 on 1, or MMI?
Hi kholley 25,Just called admissions and they said e-mailing is fine. Just thought I'd update y'all.
Are there ethical or scenarios based questions?
Hi kholley 25,
Who did you email the forms to? UNC Admissions or the lady who sent you all the files? Thanks!
