** The Official UPenn Class of 2018 Interview/Acceptance Thread **

Anybody with post-dec interview get a waitlist or a rejection?
I wonder if you haven't heard by now, it means either of the two...

Doubt it. They take their time to select applicants who truly fit their program so hang in there... you may just be the one to take my seat if I choose to withdraw, which is looking like a good possibility at this point. Who knows? 🙂

Off topic, but did you notice your aadsas portal change from complete to received/ under review before you were invited? How long before if so??

Status was never changed but I was invited 12/6/13

Those of you who were accepted, how soon after you interviewed did you find out you got accepted?

Got accepted via phone call today 🙂 I interviewed two weeks ago.

For those curious about the timeline after an interview at Penn, it takes about 2-4 weeks for the adcom to release interview results to the candidates.
My interview was on Dec 12, and I heard the good news via phone call on Jan 10th with the package delivered to my Canadian address on Jan 14th. It took more than a usual amount of time because Corky (the admission director who finalizes on the admission decisions), was on her vacation for 2 weeks. Interviews are held twice a week (Thursday and Friday) with 15 people on each date. Then, the admission committee meets in the following week to holistically review your application, and notification happens the week after via "snail mail". Penn does not use electronic means to make notifications so do not panic! Also, if my memory is correct, interviews will be held until the end of April with all the interviewers considered equally. However, I highly doubt that the chances will be the same for late interviewers as UPenn fb members are already close to 100.

I will be interviewing next Thursday. Hopefully everything go well. 🙂

Most laid back and enjoyable interview experience I've had. Just be yourself and avoid sounding rehearsed (you shouldn't run into any curve-balls or trick questions).

Good luck!
Thanks!

Did Penn send out ANY waitlist or rejection letters for post-December interviewees? Haven't heard a peep from them...Interviewed way back in early December...
