I have no idea on the email thing.
It would seem that it would save them a great deal of grief if they sent an email to all the interviewees at somepoint telling us that its on the status page such that we wouldn't have to be obsessively checking. . .

I just called the admissions office- The woman said they are NOT posting decisions today- all she would say is that it will be some time this week.
Why can't these offices just set deadlines, tell everyone the same thing, and meet those deadlines ! 😡 😡 😡

I just called too. Someone (maybe the same person?) said that we'll get an email and a letter, but was elusive as to the web posting bit. She did say that decisions "more than likely" have been made.

I don't understand why they won't tell you guys if they know.... you DID pay the 65$ and you DID drive/fly/walk out ther eto interview... why do people who work in the admissions dept. sometimes think that you somehow don't deserve to know... SHEEESH!

I damn near had a heartattack when I clicked the button on the webstatus page to see if I was accepted... Then I checked my email..held my breath when I saw that I had 3 new ones..and NOTHING.
So I called Penn. I recognized the voice of the girl because I spoke to her two days ago. Two days ago she told me firmly that I would find out on the 11th. Now she said I'd find out the week of the 11th. God damnit I'm a person not an emotional rollercoaster! I'm sorry but if offices set up deadlines then they should meet them.
How would they have treated us if we showed up 2 days late for an interview!???

just to change the subject for a minute...does anyone know the FAFSA code for Penn...I have 003378. Other schools have different codes for different divisions of their university (undergrad, medschool, lawschool) but the Univ. of Penn only gives this one. Is this the right one then?

You have to go to the original page i.e type in <a href="http://www.med.upenn.edu/admiss/status/" target="_blank">http://www.med.upenn.edu/admiss/status/</a>
If you try and use the "favorites" feature, it doesnt work. If your browser supports it, all you have to do next time is type in med.upenn......and the browser brings up the rest for you.

So no one has gotten an email or whatever yet?
Also, are the only decisions left waitlists and acceptances? I read on interviewfeedback that at least some people have been rejected on a rolling basis (one unlucky girl as early as two weeks after her interview!).

I wish that it could be all acceptances, etc., for your sake and the sake of everyone else waiting. .. but I doubt that this is the case simply because I was never granted an interview, but have still not received a rejection letter yet. So I'm expecting to get the thin envelope whenever UPenn releases the rest of the decisions.

Waking up this morning was just like Christmas day. I was all excited to see what kind of present UPenn left me in my email stocking. Then to my great sorrow I get up only to find that Santa decided to postpone Christmas until, eh, whenever he feels like getting around to it 🙄 .
