Bad news for you all!!!! Just got off the phone and the same woman who said MONDAAAYYYY to me said at the earliest it will be the end of this week but more than likely next week!!!! and on top of it all...the emails will go out 24 hours after the results are posted on the web!!!!So the ulcers will be growing larger this week....I don't know who is posting the acceptances (and rejections) she said all were going out together!

I don't understand how it's suddenly too much work to get it done this week. How could you
think last week it would be done monday and then have to revise. Have they learned nothing from AMCAS? Sheesh...they should always be UN-optimistic with their notification dates. 😡

i don't think they've notified md/phd applicants because i posted a plea for any applicant on the mstp board to let me know if they heard anything (i am an md/phd applicant) and no one has. i'm not all that confident about MY application, but i would be surprised if all of us were rejected.
i think that interviewfeedback thing was either a joke or maybe someone who found out through personal connections (their father is dean of admissions, or something 🙂 !)

oooops, excuse the above post....I just wnated to vent like the rest of you guys, if they stopped interviewing on the 8th of February, they really had more than enough time to get their ish' together. I can't stand it when people say one thing ("letters will be sent out on the 11th") and do another (now possibly this week but more likely next week) c'mon!

I spoke to a woman (not the usual, younger-toned,person that most you get on average) who told me that they "hope to get the letters out tomorrow. Emails would also go out concurrently with the snails. That's the word from 36th and Spruce Street. As I am just a few yards away, If it doesn't happen tomorrow, I will personally walk over and make so noise!!

i think they're probably just toying with us. imagine: "hey, let's tell the next guy who calls that we'll put 'em out tomorrow!! won't that be funny? stupid med applicants..."

Sunday night (expecting to hear from UPenn on Monday) I had a dream I got into UPenn - I was really f-ing excited. Then I woke up - and that REEEAAALLYYY sucked. Then I fell asleep and had another dream - and I remember thinking - yay! I did it, this time its real, not like that stupid dream I had. Then I woke up again.
That feeling, right then as I woke up the second time, only to realize that it was a dream AGAIN - well, there just arent words to describe that.
Now I just find it funny.

Although I've been admittedly nervous on a few commutes home this year--it does NOT compare to my anxiety awaiting this decision.
Anyone else feel like this is the biggest decision of our lives and its totally out of our control (at this point, anyway!). 😕

I definitely feel out of control since this is the school that really could pull me away from my state school...and I'm so anxious to hear something!! They should at least send an email or post an update message on the web saying EXACTLY what they are doing...ie when they are going to ACTUALLY send the letters and update the website. I keep hoping to get an email from them...but of course, nothing yet. Oh please let it be today and put me out of my misery!! I just want an answer, so that way I can either keep PENN as #1 or just forget about them. I prefer the first option, but having some finality will be nice, either way.
I just spoke with UPENN Medical school admissions. Decisions have ALL been mailed out. Approximately thirty students will enter the class from the waitlist by fall. Everyone will be able to view the decision on their application ONLINE by noon tomorrow.

••••This was probably the same person in the admissions office who told us we'd be hearing ON Monday. I certainly hope this is true but with all of the conflicting info, I wouldn't be surprised if this didn't pan out. Hope it does though...!

If everyone is feeling like I know it would be useful for those who won't get a chance to attend UPENN to have some closure as to why. At least in terms of the all powerful MCAT/GPA gods.

I'm sick to my stomach and I'm not even going to med school! My girlfriend works at a place that does not allow web access. I have deliver her decision.
For everyone out there who was sick to their stomachs, vomiting, sleepless, and resigned I want to say you are all intellegent capable people. Do not let the arbitrary decision of a panel of strangers impact the dreams you have of the doctor you want to be. Be that doctor, even if you don't attend UPENN. You never know, you might end up teaching there...
