The goal is not for individual players to stay alive longer... it is for the group you are playing with to win and to have fun while playing the game. I think it is nice when people actually put some effort on the game thread when the mods have worked hard to make the game and run it.

But that's a) boring, and b) not useful to villagers (as a wolf, sure, staying under the radar can work).

If it comes down to having a fun game and getting killed versus playing an utterly boring game because the only thing people do is show up long enough to say "Uhhhhhh... no idea what's going on, so RNG lynch Kakurubird" .... then what's the point?

I personally think some players really need to evaluate whether they should sign up or not. It is very unfortunate when a major role goes to one of those players, and it really lets down their side.

Ugh how do you guys wait between games! I had so much fun and now I'm soo ready for a new game to start and it's killing me just sitting back and watching the rest of this game play out.

I think the smaller game of dedicated players was more fun than a huge game of half hearted players... my FF game worked great because even though there were only 18 ppl, everyone was active trying to work thru it, even the dead (having an afterlife is also a winner!)...

maybe I can be revived in this game... 😉 if not, sign me up for the next one... and let me get on DVMD's team so she doesn't kilt me!

I like the banter back and forth... I never take anything in WW personally... It is just a good distraction/stress reliever for me. I also found that I only try to lie about whether I am a wolf or not and make everything else I say true (with maybe the exception of creating a role title for myself if I am a wolf (Push it Somewhere Else Patrick, for example)).. it makes it easier for people to believe what you are saying because the only thing you are saying that is not truthful is your affiliation with the wolves.... But, I am so ready to be a normal villager for the next game... that happens.

I must admit, being able to call DVMD, Fonz, and you lying sacks of ****e and have the balls to back it up was excellent in Samoa's game... I just wish I wasn't silenced or handcuffed in this game to be able to get into the action as well...

My battle of the bands game, I have some very devious roles that I really hope one of the more active and cunning players (like you, DocE, SOV, LIS, DVMD, etc) gets to really cause havok and confusion/potentially epically dominate... I just thought of it listening to some NiN (not saying it is tied to that band in any way ) on the way to work today and it is epic!

I usually tend to (wolf or villager) sit back at the beginning of a game and let things settle a little and then start doing more strategizing towards the end when I've got something to analyze, I guess. I never really THOUGHT about it, but that's what I tend to do.
