Her name is Dot I think and I'm definitely going to have to try to use the salad bar alot to keep from gaining a hefty amount myself. My problem is that I have a weakness for sweets and they make fresh baked chocolate chip cookies every day, each one of which is probably 300 calories a pop. Not good for my waistline.

I've seen the guy from Cinci's picture and name, so I'm glad to hear you liked him. I know or have met 3 of my fellow interns and liked them all, so it should be a good class.

I interviewed with one of your fellow interns who's coming from dook and he was a nice, laid back guy too. Should be great to work with up there.

Well, Dad's still on the "rice and chicken broth" diet, which he is apparently not loving at all. I'll be glad when the next two weeks are over, though.
 
I have somehow been sucked in to watching a movie, one with Frankie Muniz no less, that is about a video game where if you die in said game, you die the same way in real life.

No...she's still doing an EM rotation and is currently working a night shift. She wouldn't stand for the amount of lameness in this movie.

Well, not much to tell since my broke butt has no money for a ring right now. 🙂 It really wasn't planned, it just happened. It was the perfect time for it though.

Eh, who cares about the ring 😀. It's AWESOME.

A word of advice: if the ring matters to her, make sure you get her one at SOME point. My parents have been married 29 years and my dad (who was a poor law student when they got married) never bought her a diamond ring. She always hinted at it and finally bought one for herself, but I think she would have much preferred my dad buy it.

Stupid "Skin and Bones" test tomorrow. I only studied what I thought is needed to pass, let's hope that doesn't get me an F.

A test? That blows. Tomorrow is my last day of vacation rotations ever. I have 4 more weeks, which will be spent on the medicine wards. The last time I will ever have to do that too.
 
All you Cinti folk better use the hell out of the concierge service, or I will hunt you down. I'm talking, make them wash your car, mow your lawn, walk your dogs, etc.

I finish my last rotation on Wednesday, then to Houston to knock CS out of the way.. from there its sleep in and be lazy until July!!

(Guess I should throw in the selling a house, buying a house, moving everything, etc...)

Oh yes, at the very minimum, I'll have them service the car, and wash and wax it. I wonder what "personal shopping" they can do besides groceries?

Yes, it will be nice to never have to be on the medicine wards ever again! I'd do a NICU or another PICU month during residency over medicine wards.

Do they make you guys take call too? That would suck.

Good luck with planning a wedding while in residency. My goal is to finish the wedding planning by July. Well, you likely won't be planning the wedding anyways. 😉 And I'll second SoCute...if the ring is important to your girl (it was to me), then get her one, and get her what she wants. If she likes it, she'll likely wear it almost every day for the rest of her life. My boy did an excellent job...he used family diamonds which a) meant so much to me and b) kept the cost down c) didn't fuel the diamond industry, so I couldn't be happier with my ring.

Then again, if the ring isn't important to her, then you're off the hook. 😉

The ring isn't all that important to her, but I'd still like to get her a nice ring because as much as any woman says it's not important, there is still a part of me that thinks it is. 😉

yep my wife being the awesome lady she is told me I could get her a cz and then upgrade when we had some money. Well i worked my tail off and got her this nice ring. not too big or anything but she knows i worked hard to scrounge the money together for it esp cause i promised i would be debt free (outside of school loans) by our wedding. I did both.. Honestly i lucked into a great part time job..

She wears the ring daily. she loves it..

Unfortunately, I slept wrong a few nights ago, so when I got up here last night, I took a muscle relaxer. My so got to see me sleep the whole first night back. My neck is still killing me, but it is a little better.
