The list is propaganda. Should take into account hours spent training & working over career vs earnings over career in order to obtain a $/hour figure. To make it even more accurate, include projected value lost on investment returns due to late start and accumulating interest on student loan debt.
Every year there are two or three similar lists that pop up, and invariably Anesthesiology is listed as number one. What gives? We do fine, but surely EP or GI or ortho etc etc does better...
And CRNAs, surgeons, and circulators.They are "physicians," so their mean gets reduced by the primary care docs, neurologists, etc. We are not physicians in the eyes of the media and general public.
