Sulfa allergy is almost always to sulfonamide antibiotics, not diuretics. They don't seem to cross react. You need to ask the patient for some more details about the sulfa allergy- if it's just to Bactrim, then the diuretics are probably ok.

Yeah i see your point. But for the purpose of the NAPLEX, i wouldnt think they would dive into detail about asking the patient the complexities of their allergies
