Hi everyone,

For those who already had their interviews and had to do a writing section:

Were you guys notified beforehand that there would be a writing portion? Because the interview schedule that Jefferson sent me doesn't mention any sort of essay.

Thanks. Just want to be sure of what to expect.

i just had my interview at Jefferson yesterday (01/09) and thought it was a great experience. i was nervous for no reason because the two people who interviewed me were really nice and it felt more like a conversation rather than a bunch of questions. and no, i did not have a writing portion 🙂

Do you know any pharm school with academic forgiveness???

Great response. I've been in Pennsylvania for the past 5 years (With 2 of those years living in Philly) and what you could consider a 'suburban local'. I'm doing my pre-reqs for Pharmacy school. Thanks for giving pointers on Jefferson. Some reps came to my school and gave me a lot of information. They were super nice and seemed to know a lot about their program-- as they should have. I didn't really know what to think of Jefferson because they're so new. Your post helped.

Just curious why there isn't a Jefferson Class of 2013 thread?

Just to alleviate some pain... I received my notice this morning and i interviewed on the 8th, so...
I was accepted!!

Hey, I have been having trouble trying to get into this. I emailed someone about this because I thought maybe it was because I am not in the system yet? I sent my deposit last week, but I am not sure. The woman I emailed said she would cc my email to someone who may be able to help me better, but I haven't heard back yet.

Ahhhh, the infamous campus key look up. You have to use this website:

https://w3.jefferson.edu/pulse/directoryservices_jeffit/find.cfm

Put in your last name and whatnot, it should work. It didn't exactly work for me so I ended up calling their tech support and they fixed the issue ((215)-503-7600)

I was directed to that page a few weeks ago and tried multiple times and it could not find me. I must be in the system now; it just worked for me =)

Well two people received acceptances yesterday... Anybody get anything today?

I interviewed on Fri the 8th at noon. Still nothing. I feel your pain. Yesterday was a horrifically bad day of waiting for me--96 PCAT--3.85 prerequisite GPA--and already got waitlisted at Midwestern. Ohhhh, I'm hurtin.

woo! got my acceptance yesterday.
i interviewed friday (1/8) at 9:30am.

I interviewed 1/8/10 @ 8am and received acceptance email 1/14/10

I'm stressing out lol. Are they even open today? I doubt it :lame:

to those who will be interviewing in the future, here is some feedback:

I showed up and they took a pic, then I sat with the other applicants for 30 min waiting for the interview. They all seemed very nervous, becuase they were all super quiet. So I started talking to them and cracking jokes. then each person went into their own interview with a faculty. I interviewed with the associate dean, Dr Umland, and she is an amazing, sweet person. I sat down ready for the questions, like a typical interview, and the first thing she ask me was "so what questions do you have for me?" I thought I was the one getting interviewed, but I interviewed her instead. It was fun though. the next interview was with Ms. Joseph, cordnator of experimental rotations. She was also very kind. First thing she says to me is i loved your personal statement and your application. She interviewed me like normal, but continually complimented me, which shows how freidnly and nice the interviewers are. after that we met up with other applicants and asked the current student some questions, then he gave us a tour. It was a great, easy, laid back interview expreience. the faculty are great, so no need to stress at all about the interview. I asked the other students how their interviews went, but they were quiet as I said, and didn't disclose much.

Everyone who posted feedback already, thanks, becuase it was extremly helpful. They asked questions that were the exact same as previous interviews, and are directly on the interview feedback section of sdn, so thanks again. Hope I can pay it forward with my feedback.

Good luck to everyone 👍

I also had Dr. Umland as an interviewer and asked me that exact same question when we started. Everyone there is nice, calm, and very easy going. Wish everyone else luck.

I interviewed Fri 1/8 from 10:30am - 12pm and received my acceptance email this morning! Good luck to all of you! 😀

Congratulations! I interviewed on 01/09 and the waiting
is making me nervous...

I got acceptance e-mail....I am so excited........:hardy:
Good luck who is waiting........

Do i have to do anything now or have to wait to get acceptance package?????????????????

i just received my acceptance package

Once you receive it, it will tell you what to do and by what day to send in your acceptance letter.

Congrats to those who got accepted!

Hey Jet, does the acceptance packet have any pre req list that tells you what you need and what you have completed?

yes... I still need some pre-req done, so they sent me a "contract" to sign to say I will complete these classes before Pharmacy school.

Did any of you get a confirmation that they got your deposit? I'm worried mine didn't get there on time because Monday was a holiday.

yes...received a letter in the mail. but this was 1 week after i called them and they said they DID receive it. and don't worry, they said they honor the postmark or something like that so as long as you mailed it out before the due date
