Can anyone recommend a good thin-style pizza place? There are a lot of pizza places in Erie and we're not sure which to try first.

I really haven't eaten out in Erie so I don't know which pizza place has what you need. When you find out, let me know. Let me know before school starts. That's when my diet starts 😀
 
Pizza is my absolute favorite. I like Valerio's or Barbato's in Erie , but if you travel to Edinboro John's Wildwood is the ultimate.
 
does anyone know of a good place to get a haircut that is close to peach street? i was hoping to get a good hair cut for under 10$$ if that is possible...any suggestions???

Sassafras Street Hair Co. is at Peach and Liberty (I had a friend who worked there)
The Best Little Hair House in Town is at 2017 W 32nd St. (not far from Garden Ave)
There are several salons on 38th Street as well as Peach St. or the Millcreek Mall. Check out the phone book. Most men's cuts are $6 - $7. Hope to see you sporting a new do at the picnic. I haven't heard if you are coming.
 
I have a question about the picnic. Where at the beach are we meeting? In the parking lot, or where? How am I going to find you guys when I haven't seen any of you before? See you in a couple days! 😀

hey everyone, i am planning on coming to the picnic and I wanted to see if hot dogs and chips would be ok to bring. I figured they have a grill there and aslong as people like hot dogs, I'll bring them. I would also like to know where exactly we are meeting at beach 7?
 
i will not being going to the picnic. my parents are still here, and i am trying to spend some time with them before they leave. i am also having a lot of mechincal and electric problems at my apartment, which i am not very happy about. the maintance guys visit me twice a day now.
 
Sorry, guys, but I may be a little late for the picnic. I have a dentist appointment that day and will be leaving my home a little later than planned... 😱
 
Hey guys. I'm getting my hair done Wednesday morning at 9am but I should be done in time for the picnic. Just in case I'm late, how long are you guys going to stay out there? Do you guys want to catch a movie afterwards or something?
 
The best hotdogs in Erie are made by Smith's. If those are the kind you will be bringing then I will eat them. You won't find a better dog.

I will make a sign (LECOM Class of 2005) to hang at the pavilion that we will use at beach 7.

I planned on staying until 8 p.m. or close to dusk. We could always continue the get together at a movie (the drive in is at the top of the hill) or bar.

Parents or extended families can come to the picnic. The more the merrier.

saturday i received a call from my second year big brother. has anyone else heard from their big brother or big sister yet??
 
I haven't heard from my big brother. That's cool that he called. What did he say? We are all getting our big brothers/sisters this sat. right?
 
i am sure that if he called me, then all of the other big brothers and big sisters have our phone numbers and should be calling soon. but, this saturday is the picnic.
tomorrow i am going with my big brother to the school.
 
My big sister called me yesterday, but I wasn't home to get her call. 🙁 I still have yet to talk to her.

I have one more question for you. My dentist says I need to have a root canal, but I don't have time to get it at home, so I have to get it done in Erie. Can you recommend any good dentists that I can go to for root canal work? (Being that I don't know Erie all that well?)

I used to work for O'Leary Dental Group. Dr. Lisa is still my Dentist. They are in Girard, just 15 miles west of Erie. 774-9601 Closer to school is Dr. Keith Schloss at 4020 Sterretania Rd. 835-3740
 
today i went to the school just to look around and check out the construction. i also went to the book store and bought one of those little stickers that you put on your car that says LECOM.
dont forget to make an appointment to have your picture made for the student ID card. you also need to bring in your lap top and have the ether net card installed.
how was the picnic? was there a big turnout?
hope to see you all during orientation.

We can access the schedule and notes on the LECOM website. Your ID is your first initial and your last name. The password is the first 5 numbers of your SS#. At LECOM website under student services I was able to access the first week schedule,notes and syllabus for classes. See you all Saturday!

Adam, Missy, Andy, Tony, Angie and myself were at the picnic. There was a nice cool breeze coming off the lake. After eating we all went to Tinsel Town to see Planet of the Apes. I was fun meeting everyone. Reality is setting in. Especially since looking at the syllabus on LECOM's website.
 
orientation is on saturday. i hope that everyone is ready for classes to start. i was told that the bookstore will be open on saturday and sunday for us to buy our books.
i got the book list for the other day, and those books sure are expensive!
med school will be hard, but it will be fun too! strive for balance, and have a life outside of school. you will live longer!!

Just pushin' us back up to the top. OUR FIRST EXAM AS MED STUDENTS IS OVER, AND WE SURVIVED!!!!! 😀 😀 😀

i hope that everyone did well on the first exam. it was not that bad, but the exams will get harder and more stressful, and soon life will not be fun anymore!!!
 
The test was not that bad but I spent so much time trying to understand Histology that I neglected Physiology so I'm not too sure how I did on the Physio test.
 
Wow that's an old thread. I wonder if LECOM still does some of the things discussed...like the big brother/sister thing.

They still have the big brother/sister program. I just hope that the administration is more laid back compared to 2001. Also, the building is older so hopefully not as strict on food and drinks, highly doubted.

I've never heard of the big brother/sister program at LECOM before this thread, so I thought they canceled it or something. But I guess it's a good thing it's still there. I think the no food or drinks thing is still strict though, if not more.

I received a form to fill out and send in for the big brother/sister thing so I'm sure they're still doing it.

Edit...just looked back a little more through this thread. If any of you new female students coming to LECOM need a dentist, Dr. Keith Schloss is really hot 😉 (at least he was in 2001 when I had my root canal...I actually was able to enjoy a root canal because I got to look at him...)
