DOs Eligible for Licensure and Practice in Israel
I am proud to announce that, with the new year, DOs are now eligible for licensure in Israel! AOA President Peter B. Ajluni, DO, received a letter today from the Director of Medical Professions of the State of Israel stating that graduates of accredited osteopathic programs in accredited osteopathic schools in the USA can be licensed to practice medicine in Israel. This letter culminates our efforts to establish practice rights for DOs in Israel and brings the total number of foreign countries in which DOs can practice to almost 50.
