TMDSAS prematch/match question

1) The prematch period this year will start on October 15 which is earlier than usual. Will this affect anything especially if you are interviewing later in the cycle? or is this a mystery to everyone at this point?
2) Do people who interview toward the end of the interview cycle end up doing fine on the match day? I guess my question is "is it significantly more advantageous to interview earlier?"

It will not affect your chance, as I was told by one of the admission committee members of one of the school I went to that they deliberately save at least 50% of the spots for match day, as they want to look at the whole pool of applicants. For superstars that are good fit for the mission of the school, I believe that they will receive pre-match offers.

Hi! Do y'all know exactly how they will communicate pre-match acceptances? Will it be through email, on TMDSAS portal, or through the individual school portal?

Hi! Do y'all know exactly how they will communicate pre-match acceptances? Will it be through email, on TMDSAS portal, or through the individual school portal?

3 things will happen

1) You will receive an email saying you were accepted
2) You will likely see it on your portal for that specific school (if they have one)
3) After a day or two it will show up on your TMDSAS portal

If you're concerned about staying up with the latest, look at the SDN threads for the TMDSAS schools and people will report their prematch acceptances and say how they found out the news
