12/1 and the letter is postmarked 12/2.
Hey guys,
I have read few threads about rotation sites and transportations, but could someone elaborate more on this issue? I cannot seem to find the info again.
For example, if i was to live in Jersey city, how much per month would it cost me to travel to school?
How convenient is it to use public transportation to some of the rotation sites? I went to hopstop.com and tried for Staten Island Hospital and the website said I have to take a ferry and will take 1:45hrs (starting point Time Square).
I do not wish to buy a car but it seems some rotation sites are not relatively easy to get to by public transportation. I'm trying to buy a tablet for long commutes.
Any help with the matter will be appreciated. Thx!

Thank you!! Yes, I will be accepting this offer 🙂
Touro's a wonderful fit for me for a lot of reasons and there's really only one school I'd rather attend over Touro because of tuition reasons but my chances there are kind of slim atm 😛

Hey Congrats Snikkers! I've been secretly rooting for you, haha. I think we might be in a similar boat. I've been waitlisted at UMDNJ so I'm waiting to be pulled off (mostly for tuition cost reasons), but Touro also gives me all that I want...so I was extremely happy about my acceptance too.

Congrats! I'm interviewing Jan 26th! Just got the invite a couple of days ago! I doubt that anyone would interview for a waitlist spot.

Thanks retro! Haha our situations are pretty similar except I'm more waiting/giving up on waiting for a state school in NY instead 😛
I'm

Congrats everyone. I was starting to get a little worried that I hadn't gotten anything in the mail but just for reference for those who care:
Interviewed 12/7, letter postmarked 12/13, didn't get the letter until today 12/17, no email whatsoever.
So for those who are waiting for word, don't hold your breath for an email acceptance, and don't trip out if you see SDN'ers post acceptances when you haven't received anything yet. Just be patient! Good luck people 👍

Just got a second letter of acceptance from Touro dated Dec 15th, after already receiving one dated Dec 2nd....the two letters are identical except that the second letter arrived with the response form and a signature of the dean. I know this is all good news, but it still got me wondering, what is going on??

I just got the first letter last week, and it says to return the enclosed response form, but it wasn't there. I think they are just fixing that.

ok I guess that makes sense... though I was one of the people who received the email with the response form attachment...so I already have the response form..

I also got a second acceptance letter after already returning my response form saying I wasn't accepting the offer.....so it's safe to say they're just not communicating well with each other/they're just a little disorganized this year
Cal1516, if you don't mind me asking, which school did you decide to attend instead of Touro?
Laiba, I think that would depend on when you interview. For my interview group (end of November) at least 50% of the people were accepted (we kept in touch through email). But I would imagine that as the class gets filled, they will be accepting less people per interview group.

how many ppl on average get accepted after the interview?
last year I interviewed in March and I think everyone in my group was high wait listed, or at least most were. I know of 2 that got off the list--one in the class of 2015 and one in the class of 2016

So...I sent in my deposit today, but I kind of screwed up. I attached the old response form (that has a 2 week deadline written on it) instead of printing out a new response form they sent us via email (one with Jan 5th deadline written on it). I'm going to give the office a call tomorrow anyway, but would this matter? What do you guys think...
And also, for those of you who already put down the deposit, did you guys receive a confirmation of some sort (email, snail mail, etc..) notifying that the school received it? Or is it your responsibility to call them and check?
Thanks in advance!

Yeah. I think it's safe to say that (as expected) the later you interview, the lesser that typically get accepted out of the group. I think I remember reading somewhere on these forums that around 35-40% of interviewees get accepted, and when I interviewed two weeks ago, they said around 80/180 interviewed so far had been given acceptances. Makes sense, as that's around 44%, and later interview dates would probably yield somewhere on the lesser end of the spectrum.
Take into account that out of 135 total seats, only a tad over 100 are actually available for general applicants, and things seem a tad bleaker for those who interview after December and are fighting for 20-30 spots.
Finally a reason to post in this thread. got an interview invite last week and will be interviewing on feb. 8th. it's kind of late but i'll take it.
unfortunatley it's my first and only interview so far 🙁

Once you get an interview, you automatically give yourself a chance to get in, no matter when you interview. Keep your chin up, be proud of yourself and be confident in your abilities to knock it out of the ball park. Interviewing early is not a guarantee of acceptance. I interviewed mid November and got waitlisted. go figure, right? My friend who is a first year at Touro now interviewed there in April last year, got waitlisted and had already accepted admission into another school. He was actually on his way to sign his apartment lease in his new city when Touro called him and told him he got in (3 days before class), he forfeited his deposit at the other school, took a red-eye to NYC and is now doing well. You never know, so keep your dreams pointed towards the skyFinally a reason to post in this thread. got an interview invite last week and will be interviewing on feb. 8th. it's kind of late but i'll take it.

Yes, you are absolutely correct. Please don't let my previous past worry anybody who has yet to interview, I was just throwing out numbers for reference. Ultimately, it's up to you to impress adcoms and win your spot, no matter when you interview 👍
Cal1516, if you don't mind me asking, which school did you decide to attend instead of Touro?
Well I had already put down a deposit at LECOM-B, had my interview at Touro, then the next day happened to get an interview invite at NYCOM (my top choice). I probably would've picked Touro (since I'm from CT and it's closer to home...although after the past few 20 degree days Florida is sounding better by the minute) had I not gotten the other invite. Touro itself was a great school, but it's the difference in location and a few other things that made me decide not to throw down another deposit with the slight chance that I might get accepted to NYCOM
Oh, I wasn't actually posting to disagree with you, just giving the other poster a little pep talk, lol. But glad we agree.Yes, you are absolutely correct. I sent in my deposit form back in the end of october and just received an email telling me that my credit card was being charged at the end of last week. I called them sometime in november though to double check that they received it. It seems like other people who sent a check may have received a confirmation earlier, so I would say if you start getting worried about it, just give them a call to confirm that they received it.

I got an email today with a response form! I haven't gotten an official letter in the mail yet, but this seems promising? Interviewed 12/14 😀
Yea if you got the response form, you're in. I saw the email for the response form before I saw the letter in the mail today.
thank you for soothing my anxiety!

you're absolutely right👍, thanks for the pep talk🙂
and dbizzy thanks for the stats they're greatly appreciated, and it's ok I know that classes fill up early and few spots are left later on, so i'll just have to really impress them.
ignore previous statement....letter came in today....and ACCEPTED! Interviewed 12/15 and postmarked 12/15. My first acceptance 🙂
Congratulations! Have you heard anything else from the people at our interview day?
quick question... has anyone had their secondary application fee cashed? or heard if they are going to? i've applied (in Aug), interviewed and been accepted. Trying to pull my deposit together.
Same exact thing happened to me. I called to ask about the app fee and Issa Sow said to basically not worry about it so I'm no longer setting aside that $200.
Interviewed 12/14, got an email yesterday & letter in the mail today. I live in NY - upstate if that helps.
