I received my acceptance letter on Saturday, 10/9 and have been too busy telling everyone to post until now. It's definitely my top choice after my interview on 9/22 and I wish good luck to all those still waiting to hear...

😀 😀 😀 😀 😀

Congratulations. Now kick back and relax. That is, unless you're doing more interviews... 😀

Those @ssholes never even gave me an interview! Congrats to you though!

Ahhh, I've been on hold ther for over a month now. I'm starting to doubt my chances. But congrats to you!!! 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 .

By the way, nice job using your only 2 posts on SDN to boast about your Tulane acceptance! 🙄

Thanks! 🙂 I'm not sure how valid this may be, but supposedly if you contact Dr. Pisano and express your interest, you may get an interview. I'm sure this is simply more bunk from the rumor mill, but what's there to lose, eh?

All my best goes out to you 😉

God I know that letter from tulane will be in the mailbox tomorrow, I interviewed with him/her...

The mail has been screwy lately... It took nearly a week for my thank-you letters to arrive there (via certified mail), but then the acceptance letter was postmarked 10/7 and I received it 10/9...and I'm in VA. So I've learned not to hold my breath waiting for USPS.

Here's hoping that letter gets to you ASAP.

I have no idea what to say in a letter of interest for INTERVIEW to Dr Pisano....can anyone help out ..... I don't want to sound like I am begging for one ... Tulane is a good school and one of my top 5 choices....... How long after your file was complete did it take for them to get back with everyone who has already interviwed there ..... I think my stats are competetive..... I was complete about 9/21 sh (I don't know the exact date) and I called today and was told that file was under review and will be notified 🙁

I know I have already read the "Lull in the # of interviews" thread ....

Anyone......

Did they say anything in response to your letters...I emailed, no letters.

Congrats, I have an interview in Nov. and I was wondering if you could tell us a little about your interviewers, questions they asked etc..

Nope....Nothing. No responses...I figured since I was still under review they probably weren't going to say anything in order to avoid leading me on. Although now, I guess I can try contacting them again and see if they respond 🙂

Well... I think I received the best possible interview experience anyone could have hoped for. As the interview feedback on SDN will tell you, the interviews at Tulane are completely stress-free; no hypothetical ethical dilemmas, etc. Just questions that help reveal your personality; interests, family, etc.

I was fortuante enough to have interviewed with Dr. Pisano, the associate dean, and Dr. Owens, the school chaplain. At both interviews, we talked about philosophy and art (I was a philosophy major). The interviews were about 30 min. each and the time just flew by. It felt as if I was having a conversation with a friend, really familiar with zero intimidation. I also was paired with a student interviewer who was from my area, so we hit it off really well.

The student body, administration, and breadth of opportunities at Tulane (not to mention how much fun New Orleans is) impressed me the most and definitely placed it at the top of my list.

I was complete around the end of July and received an invite on 8/2. My interview was originally sceduled for 9/15 but then Hurricane Ivan blew through and I rescheduled for 9/22 (the admissions people are really pleasant to deal with) and then I got the letter about 2 weeks later.

As for getting an interview, I'd venture to guess a letter of interest sent directly to Dr. Pisano couldn't hurt, mentioning why you like Tulane and why you'd fit in well.

Stupid time zone on the West Coast ... the mail isn't here yet. Congrats on Tulane! 🙂

thought i'd hop on the "i also love Tulane" bandwagon while the wheels are in motion...i interviewed down there 10/7 and had an awesome time...i sent thank you letters and actually got a response from 2 of 3, so i think it depends on who you interview with (i didn't meet w/ dr. pisano and i'd assume he's too busy to respond). i met w/ dr. kahn and dr. terry if that means anything to anyone. anyhow good luck, i'll be camping out by mailbox starting oct. 15th

Got my acceptance letter last friday......first choice actually only school i applied to. I am most definitely poor, guess God loves me. Holla.

i substitute teach at a middle school and i overheard 11 year old preppy white girls using the word "holla." at that point i realized the phrase had lost all redeemable social merit that it held in the rap community. any urge i ever had to say "holla" to anybody was crushed by that experience. congrats on tulane.

Hey for anyone interviewing at Tulane, make sure you call and confirm your interview or that they received your confirmation card. I called today and they had no record of me accepting the interview even though i mailed the confirmation card close to a month ago, anyways the secretary confirmed me by phone. It would've been bad news to get therre and them not expect you

If you're that interested in Tulane, there's nothing wrong with sending a letter of interest to get an interview, but Pisano retired at the beginning of the month, so I'd send all correspondence to Dr. Beckman instead.

i interviewed on the first and am eagerly awaiting my acceptance letter..or waitlist. I interviewed with Dr. Bechman not realized she is assistant dean of admission, but she was really nice and we chatted about cooking and all the great places to eat in NOLA. Well, good luck everyone
