This is going out as this years family news letter. My wife is pretty proud of it. What do you guys think?
Twas the Year Before Dental School
Twas the year before dental school, when all through the house,
Lots of creatures were stirring, hopefully none of them a mouse;
The applications were done and sent out in the mail,
In hopes 's qualifications would soon prevail.
And with his laptop and I with mine,
We settled down for a long few months of time
When up popped an email, made such a clatter,
I sprang to my feet to see what was the matter.
I threw open the den door and made quite a clash,
Over to the laptop I flew like a flash
The light of the computer made his face aglow,
He pointed to the screen at the words below
When what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a dental school interview, inviting him near
More rapid than eagles, the interviews came,
We cheered and hollered and called them by name.
Now Midwestern! now UConn! now Iowa! now Marquette!
On Western! on UCSF! on ASDOH and Pitt!
To the east coast to the west coast to the southwest!
[FONT=Times New Roman]Now fly away, fly away, fly away in your best!.
So to all the interviews away he flew,
With a garment bag full of his suit, and reading material too
And then weeks later, in a twinkling, we heard a ring,
What a fine sound that little thing
As he drew in his hand and picked up the phone,
He heard on the other end a familiar drone
His voice was very serious, and he kept his call fast,
Is this , he asked like a voice from the past
Dr H, from Arizona School of Dental and Oral Health here,
Letting you know you've been accepted for next year
He laughed when he heard this, despite himself
And did a little jig, quite like an elf.
More acceptances came to Western and Iowa too
We can't believe the luck of our zoo
The difficulties were worth it and the fun is to come
Though we might be in Arizona, we'll never forget where we're from.
Hear me exclaim as I write out of sight

I would love to have included something about UCSF but I guess I didn't make their first round cut. With out a computer my writing skills are lets just say not stellar. Good luck to all those still waiting for their holiday cheer.
