AK•••••I just got the thin letter of death from downstate this weekend. I interviewed on Feb 28th and they mailed out my sentence on april 5th. Hope that gives you some info on how long it takes to process things there. Anyway good luck.

I'm still waiting to hear from Downstate and my interview was early February.

I'm not a NY State resident so that might explain things. Im not in anywhere else yet, but I am on the High Priority Waitlist at Upstate so go figure.
Imma keepin my fingers crossed yawl.

Anyone else on the SB waitlist that is considering attending? If accepted, I think I'll go. I called the office today and they just stopped interviewing last week. Does anyone know when to expect the most movement?

When did you interview at SB? Are you waitlisted? How long did it take for you to hear from them? I am assuming that at this point I am vying for a waitlist position (I interviewed three weeks ago) <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />

I interviewed in November and was waitlisted in February. How was your interview? Are you considering attending if accepted?

I know that if I'm moved from the waitlist to the accepted list that I'm going to go.

Right now I'm going to osteopathic school in Florida. I know it would be great to live in Florida but I think I would have to go to the SUNY schools over NOVA (NSUCOM).

I was interviewd in December at waitlisted in early Feb.

Hey Wes,
I loved SB. I would definitely go there if I were to be accepted. ~I thought~ that I had a very pleasant interview (I interviewed with the assistance dean of admissions-maybe it will help?). I am keeping my fingers crossed, but you know how crazy this process is. How was your interview? Were you surprised that you were waitlisted? Have you been calling SB?

I also loved Stony Brook. I interviewed with Dr. Lyman, who has a bit of a reputation (according to other students), but I thought it went okay. I call Stony Brook fairly often. The secretary is very nice, but has pretty much told me I just have to wait. She says that the admissions committee may be able to tell students where they stand on the list sometime next month. My circumstances dictate that I select the school I will attend by the beginning of June, so I'm hoping to hear by than. If not, there are other options. Best of luck and hope to see you at SB.

What is thew date that you guys have set to select a school by. I wanted to wait til Mid July then move down to Florida.

I thought Dr. Lyman was great. What kind of reputation does he have good or bad.
I had a 1 hour and 30 min interview.

Doc AdamK,

I also had a long interview with Dr. Lyman. When I answered a question, I got the impression that he wanted more, so I elaborated, but it never seemed like he was completely satisfied. I've heard other students (including a good friend) having horrible interviews with him.

By the way, did he ask you to name all the schools you applied to/interviewd at/been accepted at? I thought that was a little tacky.

Is there a reason for the distinction if that's the only list they have? Just wondering... do you happen to know if this list is ranked or unranked?
