Nothin today...I spent the entire day at school thinking bout nothin else...and when I got home, i found 4 letters and 2 packages for one of my tenants (from her boyfriend) and zip for me. 🙁 i live in the bay so i assume it'll be here tomorrow!! seriously, the mail shouldn't take that long. unless chocobo is right, and they really didn't send it at all.

well, if they drop it off in the internal office mailbox -- think "office space" -- it takes another day for that batch to get down to the post office.

My friend had a status change on 3/1/06 and got their letter here in San Francisco on 3/4/06. So here is hoping that everyone in California that had a status change on 3/3/06 gets their letter today. Just like chocobo I have thought about every possible scenario for when the letters went out.

I think the 3/1 status change might have been for post-secondary decisions. There is a whole thread on people who received pre-interview decision letters. Hoping the 3/3 batch is all acceptances!!!

Yes all of the 3/1/06 status change people I have heard of have been post- secondary, not post-interview.

haha thanks guys. its fine. i'm clinging onto the thought that at least it wasnt a rejection. i think this waiting process is refining my character in many ways so thats ONE good thing im getting out of this.

btw i dont remember this off the top of my head but does anyone know if UCLA has different waitlists?

My status finally changed. I interviewed 12/6 and my letter was sent, allegedly, 3/7. This is my first post on SDN but I have been following this particular thread very closely. I just have to say thanks to all those who have been calling the admissions office for the rest of us. You get a thumbs up- 👍 Good luck to everyone.

Oh my. Naturally, when I've given up checking obsessively, my page changes. Also note that admissions office secretaries either know nothing or have been instructed to tell the same half-truth to every student. Here's hoping for the best ... maybe I can finally be in the same city as my girlfriend next year ...

Alas, no news today. But judging from what we've seen so far, I bet I've been waitlisted. That's all right! And I'm almost serious when I say that...It's better knowing than waiting for each passing day to end (so the mail can come again, that is).

Hmmm kinda pissed... my interviewer said he was so pleased he was going to recommend me for a scholarship...lol oh well.

Now to think of something creative to write to convince them why I should get an acceptance....Wonder what the odds of getting off the waitlist are.

Guess the pain of med school apps is finally over... 13 apps, 5 interviews, 1 acceptance. Good luck to the rest of you.

well, considering how erratic the UCLA adcom seems to be, the letters might very well say "HAHA, FOOLED YOU! Final Letters were not sent! Recheck your status page! " but good luck to us all!

Schools have to send out enough acceptances to fill half of their incoming class by March 15. I'm hoping that some of those are in the 3/7 batch!
