hope for the best but expect the worst... thats how I roll
damn, STILL no status change for me =(
s3park or bruinator: did you guys get a status change?
I agree with this and with what RPedigo said. It's got to be a mix, but I'm sure a lot of them have to be waitlists/rejections as none have been reported thus far.
Is there anyone else out here WITHOUT a status change still???
Ugh. NO status change here!
Interviewed end of Nov. Geeze even most of the non-rolling schools have already gotten back to me.
letter sent 3/18.
i was told by my interviewer, "You will be accepted to the medical school of your choice, and we would love to have you here."
So, i still have hope. But, if all these letters are rejections/WLs, and I get a WL, i'm going to mention this fact in my letter of intent.
I don't think it matters if the interviewer tells you "I'd love you to come to our school" or not. Sometimes they don't have enough power to get you in. It's much easier to hurt your chances at acceptance during an interview than it is to help your chances. Unless your interviewing with the Dean of Admissions.
yeah, interviewers need to be more careful in what they say...
I had NN and I did have a status change.
It is almost definitely a mix of acceptances, waitlists, and rejections, because they have not filled their class size yet. More acceptances must have been put in this batch to attempt to offer as many acceptances as they have seats (per AAMC guidelines).
As will I. I live in Riverside, an hour out from LA.
Anyone know how many people get in off the (unranked) waitlist?
I just called and was told I got put on the unranked waitlist. Had my letter sent status change yesterday as well.

any news for you, LadyDoc2?
Congrats on UCSD! (I saw your mdapps)
I'm not sure who I spoke to, just called the office and got someone. However, my situation is a bit unique as I had just changed my address information yesterday and am going out of the country for the next two months. I wanted to see what address the letter had been sent to and she just offered the information herself...I didn't actually ask her for my status.Who did you speak to and what did you ask them? I would love to find out what my decision is before I get my letter, but most people who were calling weren't getting an answer out of them... any help on how I could also find out?
wow... when i was looking for something on the ucla web site, i came across this guy who looks EXACTLY like tobias from arrested development:
