UCSF entering students... heard anything recently?

I had a walk in meeting with a finacial aid advisor and she told me Pharmacy students shouldn't have to take private loans. She says they are well covered (relative to other students at UCSF), unless you have a morgage.

I won't have to next year that's for sure cause I will get IN state tuition. I have to pay that extra 14K out of state tuition the first year, which makes it come out to about 31K total. Next year, my staffords and the UCSF aid will cover it.

was that 9k in ucsf aid a grant or a loan? anyone actually get any non loan aid?

Hey I got my letter too. Contact the Fin Aid dept, I thought I would be taking out a huge private loan but the woman at Fin Aid broke it down. I onyl have to find 6 grand in private loans, 22,500 is Unsub Staff and 8,500 Staff. Also, UCSF is offering 9 grand in aid as well. I would contact them and figure out what that letter meant. i was bit confused with the breakdown myself, but they cleared it up.
