UK Residencies for IMGs .. any real life experience?

Hi everybody ..

I know that the issue of residency in UK had been discussed many times in this forum. And from what I read in here and in some UK medical sites, I understood how hard - and almost impossible - for a non-UK or non-EEA IMGs to get a position in UK.

On the GMC site, when you try to find out about how to apply for the PLAB test (Medical Exam in UK), you will find a funny note! (at least for me). They are advising you to read a study that they made about those who passed the PLAB but could not get a position in UK to know how hard this issue is. In other words, they are saying: You Are Not Welcome! Please go somewhere else!

What I'm asking here is for real life experience in this regard.

Did you, or did someone you know, try this thing personally?

How was the process? Was it really this difficult?

Don't you think that this supports the idea of the topic itself?

Don't you believe that the idea of hard-for-IMGs-to-get-UK-positions is a theoratical and not a practical one!
