ok so i have a 3.67 gpa (overall and science)
20 AA 20 TS (19 bio, 21 chem, 21 orgo)

I applied on July 26th, and sent out Aug 18th, took DAT Aug 23rd

Currently all schools have received my application (even if they haven't updated to received on aadsas) The only thing holding up is my letters of rec, which go out on monday from aadsas. (Kept telling my pre-dental adviser to finish committee letter, but he was on vacation and said he'd submit it when he got back :-( arrggh)

So having not really been actually reviewed by any schools yet, have i seriously hurt my chances? Like on a scale of 1-10 how bad (10 being not at all, and 0 being COMPLETELY screwed)

APPLIED: everywhere lol)
Boston University
Columbia University
Harvard School of Dental Medicine
New York University
Nova Southeastern University
S.U.N.Y., Buffalo
S.U.N.Y., Stony Brook
Temple University
Tufts University
University of California, S.F.
University of Connecticut
University of Florida
University of Maryland
University of New Jersey
Virginia Commonwealth University

1. Thats not everywhere! Popular school choices 🙂

2. Nice scores, you should get on predents so we can all keep track of each other easily.

3. It doesnt seem like you are all that late, not early thats for sure, seems like average timing. So I would think not seriously hurt, fairly average timing. Although your interviews might be a ways off say a month or more for an invite. Took me about that from July 21. Things might slow down or speed up, I have no idea. But I wouldnt be all that worried about it, nothing you can do now!

ok, bc i'm literally freaking out... i hate the waiting game having no control over anything.

i did get a predents account, i like the idea, gives you a good idea of where you stand.

supraman- 0!! ouch lol (btw my 3000gt vr4 will beat your supra)

wow man I always wanted a VR4! I could never find one but sweet car man, love them, what year?

But honestly, I applied Aug 15th, everything is in but DATs, taking them in this month. I called 3/4 of your list and asked them how I stood as far as my app getting in by early October. Everything single one, (Tufts, BU, Stonys, Temple) stated that the timing is perfectly fine! Relax man lol

ok, that's excellent to hear, i think we have a lot of over achievers on this site, who are all applied like 2 days after the aadsas site opens, kind of scary

91 vr4 with td04hl 15g's, lots of upgrades, put down 467 hp at the wheels

oh and best of luck, where are you applying?

1. you might get some waitlists

so is wait list like they don't interview you and place you on a wait list or they interview you then don't accept you and wait list you

i am assuming that you are being serious with the 1.

i'm pretty much in the same situation as you (application submitted around same time and sent out on same date) and also i'm waiting for my committee letter to be done. i'm pretty sure when waitlisted you get interviewed and then they kind of put you off to the side before they accept you. not 100% sure though.

haha you should push them to get that committee letter done, but you really think interviewing will be for waitlists???? 😱

thatguy- your post seems sarcastic, how can it be late for Fall of 09!?

haha i love my advisor to death though, very helpful person.

i'm really hoping that i'm not interviewing for waitlist spots that would really not be cool.

I'm a freshman this year and my application wasn't complete until mid-December. Then again, I have the luxury of a state school on my side.

My app was finished mid August last year and I got in and you have better stats than me so I'd say you have a good chance. Hopefully the adcoms roll a 7 on your application (That's how they really decide who gets in).
