I was given an underage drinking ticket in Illinois in 2016. The charge is noted as an Ordinance Violation, which required me to go to court and pay a small fee afterwards. AMCAS asks if we have been convicted of a felony or a misdemeanor, which I know my ticket does not fall under. However, I know this charge does come up on a background check, as employers have asked me about it in the past. Given this information, should I disclose this ticket on AMCAS?

1) It was a violation which is neither a misdemeanor nor felony so it does not have to mentioned
2) even if it were, you were underage so it would have to be mentioned
3) it comes up on employment check as many times jobs require driving.
4) AMCAS only does criminal background check

You do not have to list this on AMCAS nor, in this case would have to be mentioned on any secondary as it was not even an arrest
