University based vs' non university based residencies

I read that a lot of DO orthopedic surgery residencies are in smaller, non universitry based programs. Is this a big deal? I mean, is there any disadvantages, as far as getting a good practice (Western U.S.), with doing an osteopathic ortho-surg residency? Can someone give me an example of a osteopathic program program that I could research on the web? Thanks!
