Just wondering if anyone who received a call yesterday has received their follow up email?
Dr. McCorkell and I spoke at 5:25pm, during the call he said those given offers would receive emails the same evening to officially respond to the offer. Just wondering if mine is lost in transit or if the office is significantly overwhelmed at this time and emails are still coming. Best of luck everyone! TIA 🙂

I haven't received my email yet and talked with Dr. McCorkell around 4:30pm last night. He told me that the letter would be emailed within the next 24 hours.

Has anyone had luck paying their deposit? I see you can etransfer tuition but that just feels informal and hard to track? I would love to hear if other people went that route or found a more official way, thank you!

yup! It’s the same way normal tuition fees are paid. They’ll know it’s for the deposit

I emailed my form on Saturday and haven’t received a confirmation email either. I’ve been concerned as well, but everything seemed to have gone through fine on my end. I’m starting to think they might just be too busy to send confirmation emails to everyone, especially with all the forms coming in at once. It’s a little bit reassuring to know I’m not the only one who didn’t get a confirmation though 🙂

Not sure about forum but once welcome packages are sent out you’ll be able to join Facebook groups for UCVM for that kind of stuff

In the meantime - my husband and I might - I stress MIGHT - have up to 3 rooms to rent to my fellow future classmates in Northwest Calgary. We are looking at a few places in the Citadel area.

I am hoping to gauge interest from you all to see if this is a really smart or ridiculously stupid move.

What are people looking for? Furnished / unfurnished? Parking? Costs?

So, I’ve been leaning toward getting my own place butttttt if I did find the right situation:
- furnished
- parking
If it’s a room in a house , 900-1100.

Also , I would prefer that there was some kind process for vetting compatibility of the group??? I’ve just been burned in the past 🥲

Sorry to always pester you with so many questions! Are they normally mailed or emailed out? Will they include the *official* acceptance letter (proving we accepted the offer etc)? It seems many funding options need official proof of acceptance/registration.

No problem! It’s emailed to your UCalgary email. I can’t remember about the official acceptance letter tho but pretty sure it’s just your inital offer letter. For funding if you go to your myucalgary there’s a link on there for confirmation of enrolment. Sadly you have to pay for it but that should be available soon.

Thank you! And this might be a dumb question, but are we already supposed to have access to a ucalgary email? Or does that info get sent to us later? I’ve tried to register my “IT account” to make my ucalgary account and it tells my I can’t so I only have the eid still.

I’m pretty sure you should? If you’re having problems try calling the IT department to know for sure. I was already a student here so I always had access to my email maybe it’s different for others?
