I saw your post and thought u would be the best person to asnwer my doubt .Does the unvi of colorado have a minimum part 1 score reference ,how much importance do they give part 1 score verus dental experience in ones home country. i would really appreciate ur response since i am planning to apply to the school.

First of all, I would like to thank everyone for your interest in our program, and also for being so patient throughout this admission process. I cannot thank you enough for all of your support and understanding.
At this point, your application is complete and is ready for review. We are still accepting applications through March 1, 2007 and in order to guarantee an equal and fair chance for every applicant, no decisions regarding interviews will be made until all files have been reviewed. Please allow at least 3 to 4 weeks after March 1 for the admissions committee to review all applications and select interviewees. Although no exact date for interviews have been set, it will approximately take place in months of May and June. There will be a practical exam on the day of the interview and further detailed information will be sent out to those who are invited.
For your information, Colorado is a school which seeks for a well rounded applicant we do not base our admission on just scores, but rather on the potential each applicant hold in themselves. I have been asked numerous times about average NBD scores .and every time my answer is that we do not have an average score, but a range of scores which reflects on our accepted students. In the past three years, the range of scores for our ISP students were from 75 to 92. We consider all factors, including your personal essay, dental experience, classes (not GPA) taken during dental school, recommendation letters, and any other CE courses, voluntary works, academic schoolings beyond dental school, and etc.
Please remember that I am here for your assistance due to high number of inquiries, I may take a few days to get back to you but please do not hesitate to contact me for anything usually I respond to emails much faster than phone calls.

Hi submitted my application on 24th feb. I called Jane on 1st march to know whether my application has reached the college or not . She said that she will take 2-3 weeks to tell anything about the application. So all we can do is wait.

i hav a score of 84... its according to the new pattern of exams..... i gave my test on 9th feb........ does it mjake a difference?

Hey,
Usually CU accepts students with 75-92 scores (or atleast that's what Ms. Jane Miller mentioned in her e-mail). U could have applied to CU but the deadline for Jan 08 was March 1st.
As if now you are too late for 2007 and too early for 2008. Wish you all the best.

Today I mailed Jane Miller about interview call letters. I got a autoreply that she is on leave and will be back on TUESDAY, 4/3/07. So I dont think that anyone has got a interview call till now.

hey guys, any of you have any idea, how much is the bench exam/clinical exam fees for colorado interview...(well, if thy are providing all instruments, thy will have fees definitely....just hope its not like nova...1000 something...phew..!! anybody??

Don`t worry it will not be any fee.Last year they did not charge us for the instruments or anything.Good luck to all .🙂

Here is some information regarding bench test at colorado which i got from earlier posts in this forum.
NileBDS
They requested a mo alamg. prep on #30 and a PFM prep. #3.
In addidtion, they have a series of wax excercises. It's really nothing you can prepare for, you just have to have good psychomotor skills. They give you 3 different types of wax and ask you to mold different shapes out of them on a card they give you. It was ok, once you get your hands to stop shaking from the interview.
The good thing is that you will have plenty of time.

The interview was good. In the morning there was a short orientation, the Director said couple words too. Then they divided us into groups, part of us had practical, the rest went for the interviews. Practical was #3 gold crown prep and #19 MO prep, and then we had to do waxing exersize. They give you an example of what you have to do. We had three hours to do everything. For the interview itself there were two people interviewing, mostly asked usual questions, like "tell about yourself, the education system, what do you like to do in your spare time". Also there was at least one question from dentistry. The students from this year class were there all day and helped a lot, they were realy nice and freindly. There was no tour around the school, because they are moving into a new building in October.
They told us, that there will be another batch of the interview next month, they will interview about 75 people and accept only 12. So all the best to everybody who will get the call for July interview.
