Anyone got waitlisted/ rejected?
To my knowledge, they pretty much won't until they send out rejections to everyone at once anytime after the end of February.Does anyone know if they send rejections? or when?
Havnt heard anything, have you?Anyone hear about an interview for January or February yet this week?
Nope, patiently waiting :/ Just trying to be positive because I know they are interviewing through February and are probably getting ready to go on break right now so I am hoping we might hear start of January!Havnt heard anything, have you?
Does anyone know if pre-December interviewees still have a shot at acceptance after decision day? I couldn’t find much on previous years’ threads😔

Can i pm you?Hi! I'm a current dental student at UMNSOD. I would suggest sending a letter of intent if you don't receive an acceptance on or shortly after decision day (Dec 15th this year, I think?). If you feel you have a strong resume and did well during your interview, I wouldn't say that you should send one prior to then. Others may disagree, but that's just my opinion. If you choose to send a letter of intent, make sure you state why you want to attend the U of MN. Our school values research and community service, do you? If so, highlight that! Learn about the work being done here, what does our school have that you find so attractive that other schools may not have? Consider these things prior to writing a letter of intent. Good luck!
That’s exciting! Any advice for the interview?Congratulations / good luck everyone! I made my final decision and put down my UMN tuition deposit today![]()
Yeah. I don't use SDN that much, do I have to enable something or can you just send the message? Can i pm you?
Yea I believe so.. or you can maybe try to pm to get it started.. but it doesn’t give me that option for youYeah. I don't use SDN that much, do I have to enable something or can you just send the message?
Prepare for situational questions (i.e. tell me about a time when you ...), and I know its hard but try to relax! They know you're smart they just want to see that you're also personableThat’s exciting! Any advice for the interview?
haha will do! I’ve had 5 interviews so far and one 1 of those were “tell me when/hypotheticals” and it was my worst interview.. I love the conversation interviews where we literally just talk.. but I’ve come up with different experiences to discuss for different questions so as long as I remember those I should be good!Prepare for situational questions (i.e. tell me about a time when you ...), and I know its hard but try to relax! Also wondering this and if anyone knows if chances of acceptance for in state are still good with a post-Dec interviewDoes anybody know roughly how many interviews they send out?
I don't know much but I do know they don't fill all of their seats on December 15th! And looking at previous threads it does look like IS students have gotten accepted with a post-Dec interview so I would think there is still a good chance! Also wondering this and if anyone knows if chances of acceptance for in state are still good with a post-Dec interview
I just got an invite yesterday and the email said they are continuing interviews as late as February and March!Does anybody know when is the last date for interview for this cycle?
I’m in the same boat, I interviewed in November!Anyone else here not being accepted nor waitlisted? I called and they said I am still under review and they haven’t decided. I interviewed back in September!
The "usual!": inflation, increase expenditure, increase professors/instructors' salary, and decrease revenue from the clinic. To my knowledge, they are planning to keep the increase at a minimal with 2% increase for the next few years due to Covid. Consider student loans decreased by almost 2%, such as Grad Plus from 6.08% to 4.3%, thus actually no tuition increase! But yeah, it's temporary.Does anyone know why Minnesota’s tuition increases every year from D1 to D4? I find the OOS tuition super high compared to other schools so wasn’t sure if theres a reason for it
