this school is still MIA. should I assume I was rejected?

There is still another interview left in March and I don't think those invites are even out yet. According to another post, it probably won't go out until the first week of March. Don't assume. There's still a chance. Just gotta be a little more patient.

Hi guys I'm new to this thread...I applied a little late in the game, so I was pretty sure I would have either the February or March interview. I haven't heard for either yet, Feb. is obviously too late considering its next sat. I'm just starting to get a little nervous because USC is my top pick! I have been accpeted to LLU and Western so far.I really want to call, but I really dont know what to say, "why havent you called me for an interview" lol. anyways. Let me know if you guys think there is anything I could possibly do. And congrats to all of you who got in, I know how much hard work you put into it, 'SC is a GREAT school!

feeling kinda anxious about hearing from them as well but like everyone has been saying we don't have to start really worrying until after the first week of march when they'll send out the rest of their interview invitations.

i you really want to get in touch with them, a good way to repeat your interest in the program without directly saying "why haven't you contacted me???" is by giving them any updates that could be relevant to your application like the fact that you've finished classes or started a new volunteer opportunity. then nudge in there that your interest to get a interview for reasons X & Y.

it's no guarantee you'll get an invite but it doesn't hurt

I don't think there's anything good that could come from contacting them prior to first week of March. The assistant answering the phone has no pull on an interview offer. She could, however, complain about how annoying you (not YOU YOU... this isn't a targeted post) were to the Dean. That won't look good...

I don't think it would hurt to email Xin or Mr. Granderson with an updated resume. The worst thing they could say is that they won't allow it but at least you know you tried and gave it a shot. But definitely get those updated transcripts in!!

Thanks for the advice guys. What if I am only took courses towards my B.A. this fall, I am done with my pre-req's, do I still need to send them my fall transcripts?

Yes! In December, I emailed them about this because I wasn't sure if it was necessary since I already finished all my prereqs before fall and they said to send in all new grades, even if prereqs are completed. Not sure if it's too late now but you can call or email them tomorrow to confirm.

You also should have remembered to send in your fall transcripts to PharmCAS for the academic update.

Anyone have a February or March interview? I know the March interview session is the last one for USC so, if I have not heard back from USC yet then I can assume I was rejected? I heard the Feb. interview is full already and I am now assuming the March one is as well 😕

Thank you in advance for any info! 🙂

Yea it has been a long wait for sure but hopefully one that ends positively :xf:

I went back through the application thread for last year and it seems that basically if we don't receive an invite to interview the first week of March then we are pretty much rejected. So the 1st week of March is a big one for us I hope that all of us that are still waiting get an interview invite for that last session :luck:

Wow putting all our hopes on the last and final interview. I wonder how many people they would invite for that.

Congrats! I hope you nail your interview and get accepted 🙂

Wow they e-mailed you quite a long time ago for the Feb 26 interview, that must mean they probably already sent out some if not all of the March invites 🙁

Does everyone that applied receive the lack letter and file number?

Good luck to those interviewing on Saturday!

Yes, you should have received a lack letter even if you aren't missing any courses. A file number and an ID# should have been included as well.

Not true... I got an email invite last year on March 3rd for the March 22nd interview.. so first week of March is probably our last chance.. :xf:

anyone a third time reapplicant?

Got a Saturday 2/26 interview.

A little bit nervous.

Good luck to everyone still waiting,
even if you are the competition. 😀

anybody aware of any ex-TAP student who got rejected due to poor grade last year (post acceptance) and is reapplying this year?

Congrats to all who have been accepted so far! :claps:

To those waiting for the last interview session or on the AC list, good luck! :xf:

Anyone who had an interview today should share their experience! How'd everyone's interview go? 🙂

It was great!! Overall I was impressed with USC and Mr. Granderson was hilarious! 🙂

for those who got invited to the interviews, were the invitations sent out by mail or email?

thanx 🙂

no... but I'm thinking I will be haha. Was just wondering how common third-time reapplicants were.. I'm sure not very.

After applying the first time, did you call admissions to see how you could improve your application to increase your chances for the next cycle? I think it would be a good idea to do so if things don't work out the way you want it to for this cycle. But stay positive! It ain't over 'til it's over!

Yes, I do know someone that happened to.
I think she's in this time though.

Mine went well,
Kind of a blur,
went by really fast.

The anticipation is killing me,
3-4 weeks until we find out.
It's only been a day :xf:

Congratulations on your interview! Thank you very much for your reply. Do you happen to know if she got in this year or she is from a previous year??

For those who got accepted, have you guys received anything from USC other than that first packet with the payment form, etc.?

Also, anyone know when/how we can make our usc.edu e-mail addresses?

Nope! I was wondering the same thing. Do we need to send in immunization records or anything like that? I haven't heard anything yet. I also don't know about the email address.

I've only received the email confirmation saying they received my deposit. And "As we near mid-August you will receive via post orientation information for the fall semester."

I'm sure we have to hear from them again before then!

Anyone receive an invite for the last interview session yet?

Same here. I guess we just wait then. Grats on getting in.

Hey guys, its the first week of March, lets keep our fingers crossed :xf:and hope for an interview! Keep us updated if you hear anything!

thanks.

she had to reapply, she got in this year.

Lucky her... I am in the same situation, I also reapplied, but haven't heard anything..

Not yet... keeping my fingers crossed. This time last year, I got the email around 10am Wednesday morning, which is tomorrow morning this year. Not sure it'll work the same exact way this year, but I'm hoping it DOES! :xf::xf::xf:

Wow! That's pretty crazy if it does. History does have a way of repeating itself! Best of luck to y'all!

If you were in the last time around and screwed up on a class and retook that class and did better,
Then I don't think you have to worry much.

Let me know how it goes.

Yes I retook the class, got an A, and also took several other science classes. If I hopefully get in I am thinking about the dual PhD or MPH, you?

Not to be a debby downer, but last year and this year have different variables. The applicant pool appears to be a big one.

I would love to go for a Pharm.D./Ph.D, you?

For institutional or industry practice? If the latter what area were you thinking? I've been given a lot of advice on whether or not to do a dual degree as well, but if you're not doing research (and you really have to have a passion for it [money cannot be a factor whatsoever bc it's relatively marginal ]) then pharmD + fellowship is the most practical route.

Anyone going for a dual degree program?
If I got into USC, I would probably at least consider the dual pharmD/MBA. it sucks that it's so expensive. I read on the website that some people in the regular MBA program get offered merit scholarship, does anyone know if the same applies to the dual program?

I had emailed the business school admissions and never heard back.
