Hey there, so the time is quickly arriving for me to apply to PT school and obviously I am a nervous wreck. I will be applying to the University of St. Augustine in St. Augustine, Florida. Wanted to know if anyone else is in the same boat? Also wanted to see if any past or current students believe I have a chance at all because of my lower cGPA.

cGPA: 3.35
pGPA: 3.9
GRE: taking this next month
Hours: about 50 but will be observing 8 hours a week till June.
Volunteer work: 150+ hours at Nashville Women's mission, volunteer/observing at Vanderbilt Hospital, 5 hours at Grace Place Nashville.

I believe that USA looks at the application holistically. You have a very strong pGPA. Continue to do volunteer work/extra curricular activities, good letters of rec, write an essay that really displays you and your experiences, and do well on the GRE. I have pGPA~3.8 and a pretty sad GRE score, but was still accepted at the San Marcos location! I've heard stories of other students getting in with a lower GPA, just be a well rounded applicant! And idk how far the Miami campus is from you, but I heard they have less applicants (from what I remember) Good luck!!! =)

Thank you for the encouragement! Congratulations on your acceptance!

USA has accepted students with much lower stats than you have. Apply and don't worry about it 🙂. During the interview just be respectful to what everyone has to say, listen, don't interrupt interviewers or other applicants an you will get accepted.

Hopefully I will! Thank you!

What was your GRE score? I'm applying FALL 2020 to San Marcos campus and have a sad GRE score.

My GRE score was 1 point above their already low minimal requirement. My classmate's score was exact same as the minimal requirement. We were both accepted.
