Hey everyone, so I have decided to apply to the FLEX program at USA because I am married and it will be a lot less stress financially on my wife! I live about 4 hours from St. Augustine and I was wondering if anyone had any experience traveling to any campus for the FLEX? Do the students get hotels or Air Bnb? Also how is the online experience. I would be working full time and I am kind of nervous doing that and all of the school work! Thank you!

Third term Flex student here. Currently I work 30-40 hours per week and also chose the flex path to put less financial strain on my wife and I. I live a little further (about 6.5 hours) and make the bimonthly commute without a problem. The online component is quite different at first; even though I had taken many classes online for my bachelors degree, it still comes as quite a shock when the material is graduate level online. Fortunately the labs do coincide with the online lectures and the instructors are always more than willing to help guide you through the process. It helps to have a good connection with your classmates so that you can all watch out for each other and guide each other through the hurdles you will face. It is a lot of work, especially at first but the format of the classwork/schedules really facilitates a good learning environment. Best of luck on your endeavors!!

I'm choosing flex, and a third year student who is in the program told me she does Air BnB because it's so much cheaper. I currently work 25 hours a week and plan to continue doing so. She said she studies about 4-5 hours a day and some days she doesn't open the books at all because her mind needs a rest. Good luck to the both of us!

What campus are you applying?

Thank you so much! It’s nice to know an opinion on making that drive! Hopefully it won’t be too bad!
