University of Sydney C/O 2025

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I had to do a health exam. I think my cohort had the same issue. I think we figured out it was because we ticked a box saying we were health professionals or something like that. I think that only applies to human medicine though. I’m not sure if you can amend your application. I ended up just doing the health exam but it was expensive (like ~$500 I think).
I think that's what it was! 😢 Thank you!

Sorry to hear that you are having to deal with this as well! It's complete BS.

I also accidentally selected the box stating I was a "Doctor" and have been going through hoops trying to have someone update my application and tell me whether or not that incorrect selection is the reason I am being asked to complete a health exam. At first, I immediately submitted the "Update Details" form (#1023) that is available on the immigration account because I was told by the home affairs team that "doctor" refers to human physicians only. Unfortunately, my initial visa review still came back requesting a health exam. I then spoke with another home affairs representative and, after 20 minutes of waiting, was asked to submit a physical copy of the form I submitted online because that was "internal policy" for details that might affect the health exam. How does that make sense? It doesn't even state that anywhere on the website.

I'm close to just scheduling the health exam because I'm pretty sure that submitting an online request to update details does nothing. Please post if you have any luck getting the issue corrected!

Hi! Some people from other DVM cohorts have tried to get into this FB group to provide valuable information. You would technically be c/o 2024 but I think you’ve figured that out because I can’t find a c/o 2025.

Don’t buy text books! Other DVM cohorts have a stock pile of pdf textbooks that we can share with you guys. Most professors don’t really care if you have the text either. A lot of them say all you need to know is on their PowerPoints/extra reading they provide to you at no cost. I haven’t bought a single textbook since starting vet school. Some people will buy/rent from the library though if they’re more keen on a hard copy.
Thanks for letting me know! Very much appreciated. (Sorry I thought I had posted this response earlier!)

Honestly, I found them to be really unhelpful. I decided to just do the health exam and call it a day lol. After spending almost $1200 on this visa process alone, and going through with the worst doctor experience I've ever had, I finally got approved yesterday. Eyes on the prize I guess 😅

This is too late to be helpful but...I got the health exam requirement reversed! Had to email [email protected] and explain the situation instead of listening to any of the home affairs representatives that can be reached by phone. Received a response in about 2 weeks. They suck for making that so hard!
