The emails go out at different times. Last Monday, I got accepted at 1ish but some people got emails earlier. I'm sure they will send more out Monday.
 
These threads most likely don't represent the actual sample size of all applicants so I wouldn't use them to determine how many folks are accepted. For all we know, there may be a significant number of seats remaining (got my fingers crossed) or there may be a few. I think we'll know a lot more by Monday.

I'm certainly hopeful that more folks off this board are accepted as they happen to be very quality people and certainly deserving of the opportunity. Until you receive a 'yes' or 'no,' there isn't any reason to assume anything even though I know it's hard (especially for those who have not been accepted elsewhere).

Yup. Status check doesn't mean anything at all. I got accepted during the first round the monday during spring break but mine still says they received my application and may require more documents. Therefore, don't rely on status check at all. There's still hope all. 🙂

I attempted to persuade my friend to contact Dr. Wilcox, but he conveyed to me that he'll know by Monday one way or another. He sounded a bit despondent so I certainly wasn't going egg him on it too much.

Monday will be a huge day for this as other posters have indicated that Dr. Wilcox told them that it would be a couple of days from yesterday. A couple of days most likely means Monday. I believe this was posted yesterday by one of our fellow applicants.

It could be that they are rolling out the admissions slowly, and without any quantifiable data, we can only assume that there will be additional acceptances later on.

For those accepted, congrats, and for those still waiting, try to enjoy your weekend. Worrying about this won't provide you any clarity.
 
I got my acceptance e-mail today at 4:13 🙂 Of course, it just so happened to be 1 hour before my microbio lab midterm, but now that it's over, I can celebrate. Congratulations to everyone that heard the good news today!

i am beginning to hate ut, wish if they were going to do non-rolling admissions that they would at least send out all the invites at once, and then a second round to fill the declines.

this process is taking far too long, and massively playing with my nerves. guess it's a good thing I already accepted my second choice.

Agreed. I got my acceptance from the other two schools I interviewed at within days of the interview. It was nice. I know every school's admissions process is different, but we're getting to the point where we have to start looking for housing and whatnot. I'd just like to know either way soon so I can start making plans.
 
I know, right? I just want to know by now where I will be living in 4 months. I hope Monday really is the end of it: accept, reject, waitlist. I just want to know!!

Haha I am doing the same exact thing! I hope Monday is the end of it so I can figure out my plans.
 
Sadly, I'd have to guess that all of the second round acceptances were sent out today. I think our only hope left to get accepted is off of the waiting list 🙁. Oh well, i guess UH or Tech it is.
 
I want to tell myself to have hope because they might be sending offers on Monday, but sadly I have a feeling that that isn't the case.

If they're going to reject me, I wish they'd just do it already.
 
Just got back home from work. No acceptance e-mail in my inbox.

Oh man...guess I still have to wait?

Best thing to do is probably ask dr Wilcox if all the admits were sent out today. But I don't think anyone on this forum is willing to ask haha. Well... I guess it's time to drink my sorrows away
 
hey guys,
for what its worth, I don't think they have sent out all of their offers; I would even say that they haven't even sent out 75% of their offers by email yet. They may have decided on that many, but it just doesn't look like they've notified very many today at least to me. Pretty sure that they didnt notify as many as that first day of notifications, which leads me to believe that more are coming from the last meeting(s)....
It wouldn't hurt to ask Dr. Wilcox questions if you have them, it won't make any difference; hes a nice guy and is concerned and will be happy to help.
I have a friend who was waitlisted and eventually got in (last year). I will ask him how he was notified and how all that went and relay it here soon.

I know someone mentioned before about rejection letters... Does anyone know if they have been sent out yet via snail mail?

I called today before they were going to close, and the lady told me that they sent out only some invitations..There are more expected later..

I am guessing that is Monday.....Hope this helps:laugh:

They send them out pretty early. I think last year, they made their final decisions after the second meeting and the rejection letter was dated March 23rd. I mean...not that I got rejected first time around or anything...
 
I think if you dont get an email, its just safe to call and just ask if you were waitlisted or denied.....

Why were you awake at 6:41? This boggles me more than the whole "how many emails did they send out?" situation.
 
talked to a friend who got in off the waitlist; doesn't remember when he got the email but he was #13 and was accepted mid-july. He estimated that 20 were accepted off of the wait-list last year

though i dont like waiting all the way till july for a admission letter, as long as i get a waitlist letter with a rank < 15 i would be happy. my mom is already calling me mr. waitlist since i have been waitlisted at every other school i interviewed for. but i guess its better than a rejection letter.

Some numbers off the schools site: http://www.utexas.edu/pharmacy/admissions/admissionsreport2010.pdf. Based on those numbers, they always seem to accept somehwere around 140 or so students to give themselves some wiggle room.

The numbers also correlate well to previous years so if you happen to be waitlisted, you still have a shot.

As an aside, it's a bit suprising that that many students decline admission to the college.

they accepted 148 people total, but only have 125 people accepted at one time. notice how the number who declined admission (23) + number who enrolled (125) was just enough to make the total admitted number (148). in other words (not to be a downer), they're only accepting 125 people after the ad com finishes making all of their decisions and making the waitlist ~30 or so.

Hey Everyone,

I'm sure a lot of you will get good news on Monday so good luck to you.

I've accepted UT's offer and now I need some help with finding a place to live in Austin.

Those of you that already live in Austin, please give me opinion about the apartments in Riverside, specifically the Heights on Oltorf. It looks like they have dorm type set-ups. I haven't heard the greatest things about the Riverside area. Any help will be appreciated.

I'm open to having a roommate, if any you who have been recently accepted are looking for a roommate please let me know.

Tomorrow is going to be a really good day for a lot of you!!

Can Texas Southern University push a PharmD applicant to go a an undergraduate BS in biomedical Scince to finish Pharm in 6 years instead of 4 years?
