quick question regarding the 28 units of liberal arts:

Students may use no more than two AP exams to fulfill English, Psychology, Economics, general education or the liberal arts requirements.

I got credit from my school for 2 AP scores of 3. Would UOP accept that or they only accept scores of 4 or 5 ?

thanks ><

I believe they only accept scores of 4 or 5. I could be wrong though. It wouldn't hurt to e-mail Veronica 👍

it's been 2 weeks since the 11/19 interview.

if anyone who interviewed on 11/19 got an acceptance email, please let us know!!!

I think it will take a little longer than usual for the 11/19 stuff to be sent out because of Thanksgiving. Good luck

Do you guys know how many more interviews they will have?

Hey Tier 3 people,
Has anybody heared anything recently?
Last thing i got in my mail was the check list.

I'm in Tier 3 and I just got my interview invite in the mail today! Yay! 🙂 Does anyone know when the next interview day will be?

Congradulations ...
Can i ask when the letter is dated?

What's UOP's minimum gpa? My gpa is pretty low.. at the end of 3.0.. do I have no shot?
also is the minimum gpa only on pre-reqs?

In my opinion, if you have something very very different from other applicants, like unusual background, etc, you might get a chance. If not, then, it will be kinda hard especially for California schools...

Average gpa in marticulation is 3.4-3.6 (UOP)according to some websites, but I personally think it's more 3.6 ish...

sorry if I am being harsh...but don't lose the hope though. your PS and LOR may stand out!

Hi! Im just curious when did you turn in your supplemental application and Pharmcas application to UOP? Im Tier 3 also, but turned it in the very lastminute =/ So I'm not sure how long I should expect to hear from them. I only received my ID number from them to check my status. Any information would greatly help, as I anxiously wait. :xf:
thx!

Good luck. All I can say is that the wait is gonna suck.

Yea, will get a degree.. but a 3.0. am i out of reach?
Average Gpa for their entering students last year was 3.3 .(Baed on what they said at the orientation day)
Get some volenteer hours !!! That helps.

Get pharmacy tech license and work as one if you still have 3 semesters! I think that would make a bigger difference since UOP specifically asks (in the application) whether you have a pharm tech license or not. 🙂

Yea, I'm planning to get my tech license this break, I have 150+ volunteer hours @ pharmacy, and I have other volunteering as well.
involved with two other clubs as well..
I still need to find more. to make up my gpa.

Which information is accurate for the application process and requirements? The PharmCAS and PDF file differentiates with those requirements for certain SOPs. Better just to view the school website...

Good point. Not sure which one is up-to-date but I think it is safe to say it ranges from 3.3-3.5 per year.

Yea for some reason I think that is an important part of the app. They even went over my resume during the interview and asked specific questions about my experience as a tech.

I submitted my supplemental on 10/31 and my PharmCAS was mailed out 10/18. Did you check your application status on the website? I received a letter confirming the pre-reqs that are still in progress before I got the interview invite. Good luck! I might've just been lucky. 😛

Isn't kinda hard to get a pharm tech job nowadays? 😕

Yea. I think it's hard everywhere. What I did was to volunteer as a pharm tech...It's not easy but there are still jobs out there if you look for it. 🙂

I'm Tier 3 as well and received my interview invitation in the mail yesterday! :soexcited: I scheduled my interview today and it'll be on Jan 28! Good luck to everyone who's still waiting to hear from them. 🙂

(in case anyone's interested, I submitted PharmCAS 10/20 and the supplemental a couple of days afterward)

Do they send out Hold and Rejections same time as inteview invites?
I am in Tier 3 and have not received anything.

Hi guys, I've been lurking for a while, but I also got my interview invite and will be scheduled for January 28th as well.

Don't have my degree yet, and did most of my prereqs at a JC. Have a pretty moderate gpa in the 3.4 range. What I do have alot of is experience. I've been a tech for 9 years, and 3 of those years I was an internal pharmacy auditor. Lots of volunteer time on my resume that I'm still participating in.

Pleased to meet everyone! Oh and RDuran, it's Lee @ corp!

I am in Tier 3, but I also submitted about 2 days before the deadline so I know I am at the bottttttom of the pile. For those in Tier 3 who are receiving their interviews...when did you submit?

The only thing I received last was the "Results of Checklist Evaluation" about last week...

usually how long after that do you receive some response for an interview or hold, or reject?

I was accepted into another school already but I really want to wait and see where my other apps are heading...

Wow, it's been awhile since I've been on this thread. What's new? Are there any news for the Tier 1 ppl on hold?

Applying here as well! Did you start on the supplemental application yet? If you did, are you sending the resume directly to UoP or submitting it electronically?

Is Touro CA accredit i have been hearing mix messages thats why i am hesitant to applying.

Happy New Year Guys.
Any news from school😕

If a General Education class is also liberal art does it count towards the 28 liberal arts units you need?
