crap?
Geez it was fun.

I mean the personal attacks because people aren't responding ... the "I'm going to lynch you next game because you're a dangerous villager" stuff ... all that.

The game itself was designed just fine (I probably would have put a limit on the role-switching mechanic since it basically made the end-game a total crap-shoot for the villagers, but that's just tweaking), and it was nice to have a novel mechanic at work.

Come on LIS... You should know that was just in fun. If you perceive that as a personal attack I apologize.

And I am certainly not going to get rid of you next time just because you always have a hand in my - unjust- death.

When the game over, that is all forgotten. It was all meant in fun.

Hey now, this is coming from the person that called me a "something something b*tch" in one game. 😡

Yeah, and I regret that I let your posts push me to responding that rudely. And I've said so. I should have just shut up and walked away.

But in this case, I meant to be specific: I said the "personal attacks because people aren't responding."

I'm *TOTALLY* on board with wanting people to be more active in the games. I hate the mid-game emptiness, and I've ranted about it alongside other people. But there has to be some balance - I can't sit at my computer 24x7, and if I'm going to be ranted against because I happen to be out to lunch with a buddy and can't post ... that's kinda not much fun, ya know?

I liked the mechanic as well, but I agree with LIS that it would have been tricky as an end-gamer.

Dwin, you owe me a red velvet cupcake :d

Well, that mechanic is the only thing that allowed villagers to make it past the last night. So I let it happen. It was almost game over anyway

Yeah, and I regret that I let your behavior push me to posting something rude like that. And I've said so. I should have just shut up and walked away.

Meh. We all have a fuse and sometimes it explodes. Next time just say, "DVMD, stop and do one of these... :slap:" I'll get the point (I know I can go overboard so sometimes I just need a little kick to shut up.😛)

Yeah, I agree. I am not even around 24/7 (and I am around a lot ). But I really think SOV was just pulling your leg there to be honest. There does need to be balance and people can't be on 24/7 but the not posting for days in a row is getting old as well. I have tried to tune down my playing some (Don't know if it is working or not, but meh), my goal it to not play at all once school start back up, it is too much of a distraction.

Fair. I appreciate your graciousness. I'd like it if we could let it go since I pissed you off and you pissed me off ... we're probably even.

In the end it wasn't going to matter, because he wanted me to lynch nstarz <anyway>, so (like he pointed out) it was a loss either way.

But dang it, he ought to know me well enough to know that I need straightforward, unemotional persuasion if someone wants me to waffle my vote. Throwing vitriol at me pretty much never works because my reaction is always to distrust someone who is getting more and more worked up. I tend to vote in politics the same way - the more passionate someone is about "their" side, the less trustful I am that they've really considered their opponent's position. 🙂

Bingo.

Great game. Thanks mods. I liked the concept, though it probably helped that I was never a vanilla villager (villager seer < wolf seer < anti-converter)

😍 to the RNG

So the trigger for the role reassignment was the anti-converter selecting a wolf, right? was it always 4 cycles before someone guessed correctly?

also, who was the anti-converter the first time around? guessing they were a group2 wolf...

it was wld. Who died that night.

We almost did the role switcharoo without her finding a wolf anyway. Because we like confusion.

Great game mods! The only thing I would say is that being a vanilla villagers was very very very vanilla. Love the concept though it didn't let one group dominate it really favor. Maybe it slightly favored the wolves, but not by much.

yeah, but having items seemed like a lot of work.

Yeah, my bad. Also, it completely freaks me out that you happen to mention Red Velvet specifically since it happens to be my favorite and my wife brought some home yesterday. . .

Mods, great game, I personally liked the mechanic. While I'm sad we lost, that has to be one of the most hilarious endings I've ever seen (sorry SOV).

I thought the game mechanic was great... when dyachei first told me it I was like.... how the hell is that gonna work... but it did - surprisingly well I might add...

Oh and I converted SOV... not the wolves.... :meanie:

Also way back when in the beginning of WW... there used to be games where there was just vanilla villagers and wolves, maybe a seer, and a protector... this whole items and roles thing is a level that is has been taken to from a desire by players... but not all WW was this and it was still a lot of fun....

just saying!

Great games mods! I was really surprised I lasted as long as I did. I was a villager the entire time so I was really hoping for a villager win for my first game, but oh well 🙂.

When you have a minute to relax, you need to go back and re-read what happened. I think you have a skewed view of what I was doing.

There was no vitriol, and my persuasions were thrown at "the villagers".. I kind of thought you were a wolf.

The only thing personal was the "I'm gonna get rid of LIS right away" stuff, and that was clearly meant in jest, as everyone but you seems to have gotten.

Really, I think you are kind off-base here. I have apologized if you took it personally, but there really wasn't any personal attacks AT ALL. Everyone else seems to have seen it for the fun it was.

I thought I had a great way to weed out the wolf and no one was responding. I was being critical of people for not being around, I assumed (and rightly in SnS' case, and wrongly in yours) that people were just ignoring me.

Hopefully with a drink and some rest you will forgive and move on. I certainly don't want it to affect your enjoyment. it was a great game all around.

I'm not mad, and I'm pretty relaxed ... heck, I had a nice birthday and have no real 'responsibilities' this week, so it's great.

I just didn't enjoy the end of the game, that's all. It's not like I took my ball and went home or anything, though. Just sayin', that's not an enjoyable way to play for me. But I'm not angry or anything. *shrug*
