FROM Stockton TO SMF is not bad whatsoever. You'll get pretty congested when you reach the I-5 Redding area and I-80 Eastbound merges into you from Natomas, but that's about it. Pretty much the whole way from March/Pershing all the way to that point will be 60mph or so.

The other direction, from Sacramento outward on I-5 southbound is really snarly during the afternoon commute, but you'll be headed in the opposing direction.

How long do you think the commute will be? An hour or less? Also for those who interviewed, what time was the whole program over? Thanks for your help! 🙂

About 4 p.m.

The drive from Stkn to Sac in standard conditions is a little less than an hour. Where SMF is, right up I-5 / Redding, it'll be really fast. Most of the journey will be 70 mph speed limit.
 
i am in tier 2, and i got deferred when i called Veronica. However, i didn't receive any letter from UOP stated that i got deferred. How did differed people know they will be reviewed again? did you guys call or get email or a snail mail?

i got my deferral letter via snail mail. it just said that they'll review my file again at a later time
 
My application was delayed 🙁..so i was wondering if people from tier 3 have heard anything from UOP. Please let me know.
 
I am from tier 1, I got deferred too. I haven't heard anything since. I guessing, no news until 2010
 
Just wondering: does anyone know the number of students who have interviewed getting placed on hold as opposed to getting rejected for UOP? It seems like (at least from the comments I've read on SDN) there are a lot of students placed on hold until the spring?? :/ Makes me feel like my chances of getting any good news from UOP is so unlikely.

Yes, got a letter on Friday dated Dec 1. I got deferred.
 
i got deferred too. i applied oct 26. didn't even get interviewed.

why won't they LIKE ME??????????????

When did you submit your supplemental?Also, any other tier 3 people? Can you tell me when you sent your supplemental and when you were contacted thank you.

I submitted my supplemental app. in September. They sent me a letter last friday sayin that I was invited to an interview, and had to call to set up an appointment.

emc, I submitted my supplemental in september too.
 
Thank you also for the info. I submitted mine on September 29th and it is still being reviewed. I hope to hear from them soon with some good news.

Wow. If you submitted Oct 26th. That means they reviewed through the end of Tier 3 already.

I'm worried now because I submitted my supplemental on Oct 1st and I haven't heard a thing.

Do you guys think they go through Tier 3 and do deferrals first, then go through it again for interviews?

I dont remember the date but it was sometime in september. Just remember that tier 3 is the most competitive group of applicants so it may take some time to send out all the invites. I wish you all luck and hope to see you guys at the interview.

GPA 3.5 2 years of pharm. tech. experience. No pcat and lots of other extracurriculars.
 
To those of you who have been accepted and mailed in your deposit, has your check been cashed yet? I mailed my deposit two weeks ago, and I'm a little worried b/c my check hasn't been cashed.

i did mine electronically and have already received a confirmation e-mail from veronica.

maybe you should check with her now that its been a week since the deadline.

You received a confirmation email from veronica? I did mine online and I just received a general confirmation email. I hope it went through okay.

it was a general confirmation with uop letterhead on the email, but it was also from veronica.
 
🙁 I was in Tier 3, but I got deferred without an interview invite...This pretty much means that I am rejected...🙁

when was your letter postmarked. i live in socal, and I havent received anything yet
 
I was place on hold after Tier 1. Now is what Tier? Time pass=less chance of getting in=less seats available??
 
I was a deferred Tier 1 as well. I'm a reapplicant. I'm hoping to receive an interview from them soon.


But, if I dont...I'm not going to be sad. Ive gotten into an out of state school already.
 
I'm dying inside knowing that I can receive any of the three: a deferral, rejection, or interview letter. Ahhhh!
 
Could anyone tell me what is the difference between tier 1, 2, 3! And if my interview apt. is on 1/22, does is mean that my chance of getting to UOP will be low! I'm totally lost here! 😕

well i'm guessing i'm a tier 3. I got an interview set up in january. Don't lose hope

I submitted my pharmcas at the end of September, and supplementals early october. I have not heard anything from UOP.

If you don't mind, what were your stats UCM?

Sorry Shunpo. I've been out and about celebrating after finals week. I think I currently have a 3.0, over 3 years pharm. tech, and no EC's basically. I guess what UOP are looking for are well-rounded people. There must have been something on my supplemental essay and personal statement they liked or could have been from my LORs. I was proactive with Veronica though. Asking questions about the school and stuff. Don't know if that helped. But in all honesty I am very very lucky to have gotten an interview with comparing my STATs to everyone elses so don't give up hope!
