UoP, is it too late to apply?

Hey guys,
I'm adding couple more schools to my list and I see alot of people got interview from UoP, so does that mean its a little late to apply there ?

dddsmack, why do you intentionally give false information? it is NOT too late to apply to most schools, including UoP. CHeck AADSAS and they list every dental school's application deadline. Pacific's is Dec. 1st.....

My advice:
(1) apply if you have high DAT scores, and
(2) don't listen to dddsmack in the future

If it is so safe to apply this late, why didn't you wait?

I have many friends who applied there early with 20+ scores who still haven't got an invite. I am just being honest, why give people a false sense of hope?

ddsmack is right. Call up UOP and ask if its a late to apply. Your best bet is to get an alternate spot and even then...you best have godly scores.

true, but the point is their deadline isn't until dec. 1st and if the OP has what UoP is looking for he/she will score an interview. what's an extra $100 in the application process? i say apply....you never know.

plus, it is not too late to apply to schools. there are still many more months (probably 6 or so) that schools will be conducting interviews.

Of course they do, that is why when you call they will say sure, send the app, with the check!

That depends on how you pose your question. I would suggest asking something like..."has all the primary interview spots been taken yet?" they'l say yes. then ask "what are the chances of getting an interview now?" they'l say something like "well, maybe for wait list." Thats what they told me, and ive been under review since september 🙄.

I was just wondering if sendig the supplemental application on the first week of October would be too late.What do you think? Do you know anyone who has sent thier applications on october and still get the interview?For Marquette for instance?

I just applied to Uop five days ago. I called them four days ago and they told me that basically, the class is filled and if I get an interview it would be for the wait-list. So basically I just wasted another 180 bucks. If Uop is really important to you, apply anyway. It's a long shot but it's still a shot.

Also from what I know, wait-listed is not too bad because 26 waitlisted people got in last year.

Thanks for your inputs everyone. I'm going to call them on Monday but based on what you said I think I will save my money. I have applied to 10 schools and have 3 interviews so far, but I think with this number of applicant and competition I better add few more schools. I dont know which schools though. I have applied to east coast schools, any suggestions which schools I still have a chance to get an interview. I have 22,22,20 and 3.8.

you were right ! I called up the school today and they told me its late and if I get an interview I'll be placed in waitlist !! Any other schools thats not late to apply yet??? Any ideas??
