update letter or e-mail???

so i just got an abstract accepted to a conference and i wasn't sure the best way to update schools

have people generally been writing letters or e-mails with updates? i did a search on sdn and couldn't seem to find a consensus

any thoughts would be appreciated!

depends on the school. try contacting the schools. most are fine with email, but tufts told me snail mail.
