I just realized with all the craziness of the holidays, I forgot to email Rob a photo of me. Please tell me other people forgot too!
It took me a few days for it to sink inI told Rob on the phone he made my life. I feel like it isn't real.
I'm sure it's not a big deal! I think they mostly use to to attach a face to a name. I'm sure they'll be understanding; the holidays are crazy for everyone 🙂.I just realized with all the craziness of the holidays, I forgot to email Rob a photo of me. Please tell me other people forgot too!

The most specific question I got asked had to do with something that I put in my personal statement about a cow. They asked if I agreed with the decision that had been made regarding the cow and calf. There was nothing in mine meant to trip me up. I would definitely brush up on animal rights vs animal welfare and look into current issues in vet med (ebola could be something to look into a bit), but as long as you know why you want to attend Penn and why you want to attend vet school you should be good!congrats to those accepted!
can you guys give those who still have to interview any advice? i know, just be yourself and look over the application. but, i was looking over the old interview questions, and they had pretty specific questions, like listing some issues of vet medicine today and name a function and process of an organ.
did you guys get any of those?
interviews are my kryptonite- I've had work interviews, but not for school! I freak out about them easily 🙁
I didn't get asked really any common interview questions. The interviewer just said my grades were excellent and I have a ton of experience and my recommendation letters were really good. We just like talked about some things on my application. Then we talked about the interviewers practice and some common experiences we both had. She was an exclusive cat vet and was really awesome. Honestly, I have found from my experience with interviews is that if you can make them laugh and start talking about themselves it is a very good sign.congrats to those accepted!

😱😱😱😱😱That's NOTHING. With how excited I was about having received an interview invite, I totally didn't remember to email them back that I was going to be attending. I received a phone call the day before the "due date" to confirm the interview, asking if I still wanted to attend. There was a LOT of "oh gosh" 's and apologizing for my silliness. I think you'll be fine!

I went on large animal day and when we arrived they handed us a list saying what time we'd be called in to interview and who we'd be interviewing with. I'm not sure if they do that for every interview, though! Thanks for the tips! Do you find out who is interviewing you before you actually go into the interview or do you find out when you meet the interviewers?
I emailed both of the people who interviewed me afterwards, just to be safe. I'm not sure if it's expected, though!CONGRATS, EVERYONE! This is so exciting!!
Did those of you who already interviewed end up emailing thank-yous afterwards, or is it not expected?
For those that interviewed last Friday, did you go to the happy hour?
It was about a half hour like normal interviews@CatGirl12 it sounds like your interview was pretty short?
and i totally agree with the laughing and talking about themselves part- my main goal for my interview, basically!
Don't worry, myself and a few of my friends who interviewed later in the day haven't heard yet either. We all felt our interviews went pretty well too so it sounds like they didn't finish making phone callsHi everyone!
did anyone else interview on friday and not hear back yet? I was interviewed by Dr. Grandstaff and thought it went well but am now getting nervous!

I am just as excited. It is finally setting in. I started looking at buying Penn sweatshirts....@CatGirl12 I believe we're just getting a letter - relax and cancel it all 🙂
Anyone else who got the call definitely going Penn? I'm excited to know who my class will be!!!! I need something else to preoccupy me because I'm already apartment searching and it's probably unhealthy.
I'll be in your class! I was accepted last year and deferred to work on PA residency 🙂.@CatGirl12 I believe we're just getting a letter - relax and cancel it all 🙂

I feel ya.....its killing me...still nothing AT ALL from Penn. Can't they just reject me already?
I found one statistic somewhere (not on the Penn website) that said that they invite between 1.5 and 2x as many people as they accept. I don't know how accurate that is though, so take it with a grain of salt!Does anyone know the % of applicants accepted that are invited to interview, in general?

For those that interviewed, did you bring a notebook or such for the tour? And did you bring your coats and purses with you into the interview room or was there a coat rack outside? I'm trying to decide on what to bring and how to dress!! I was thinking of wearing some comfy black boots for the tour and short heels for the interview.
Thanks for any help! 🙂
Anyone else interviewing this Friday morning? Excited!!
