Are you sure? I was checking the same link around noon and it was still pointing to the old rankings. I know that the hardcopy rankings were out for 2 days now...

well FINE if you want to get all techinical, the online one is out today. :p

I don't know much about med schools, but it's surprising that NYU is like, 31 in ranking for research!

An interesting fact in the rankings is that Duke had a GPA/MCAT average of 3.8/11.9 while Wash U had 3.82/12.2. However, you will hear no accusations of Duke being a numbers *****. In fact Duke bumped out Columbia to take the #2 spot in the selectivity rankings.

Duke tied Wash U in Peer Assessment and Assessment Score by Residency Directors. This means that the only things separating Wash U and Duke are Wash U's slight advantages in selectivity and NIH funding. In essence, Duke is ranked higher than UCSF and directly behind Hopkins mostly because of its selectivity. However, you will hear no accusations of "numbers whoring" from the so-called "those in the know."

The hypocrisy is deafening!

That's because Duke isn't a numbers ***** while Wash U is.

 Good joke.

Given that this is the 87698698th thread dedicated to the topic (search and confirm if you must), I have one question for you guys/girls:

Do you realize that this is a meaningless list composed of meaningless (in the context presented) trivia? Too many of you seem to be planning your life around it.

Wash U has finally accomplished it's goal of having the highest MCAT and the highest Average GPA of all the medical schools. And just so you know, I'm really not that intelligent. (but I am still in the know)
