The next USC interview date is Feb 10 and I know this is kind of early but has anyone receive an invite for the 3rd interview yet? I'll be waiting by my mailbox next week 😛

yeah i know what you mean...i turned mine in the day before it was due....and to top if off, my money order was lost, and I wasn't notified until a month later in December..so my application was incomplete for the longest time 😡

It seems that we're the super-USC procrastinating group. 😀 I personally feel like I have close to zero chances of getting an interview at this point though.... They only have 2 more dates....If anyone who applied super last minute hears anything, please post!!!

who here still hasn't heard anything from usc? neither a call, letter, email, whatever..............please post!

That's strange, airen. I got emails about the status of my prereq, etc. so you should have at least gotten something similar...call them and ask about your status. I did about 2 weeks ago and they checked and said it was under review.

i called them on the 2nd and said it was under review too. i never got an email regarding the status of my prereq. gosh, should i go to the school and ask them?

I would. I had to call them twice before they finally got an email to me. Both times indicated there had been a problem with students getting emails from them.

who receives the email regarding missing prereqs? every candidate, which i highly doubt they will invest the time to do so? or the ones they feel are qualified for an interview?

man, i'm getting worried! i called them on the 2nd of jan. and the lady sounded so annoyed cause it was their first day back from the break and i'm sure they were slammed.

I think they do that for everyone. I didn't get an interview from USC last year and got one this year. For both years, they still had a pre-requsite sheet for me. I would try calling again just to make sure.

i'll call them on monday. how soon after you submitted, did you get the email regarding the prerequisite. I got the email with the checklist that my file is complete, that's the last i heard from them.

I've been..working. boo. It's more tiring than I thought.

Anyways, sorry, I don't remember when I got the e-mail regarding pre-reqs. I specifically remember getting it this year b/c I had a discrepancy and they fixed it right away through e-mail.

Maybe someone else could help? When did others hear about pre-reqs?

I called them in mid-December, and they told me to wait until 2nd week of January (I agree that the lady who answered my call sounded very cold, and maybe a bit annoyed. They should learn how to have a nice customer service skill, IMO).
Then, I sent them an email 2 weeks ago and they said they'll resent the email confirmation (That's what they typed there, and it wasn't a typo!! I LOL when I read resent instead of resend).

Still no email received, so I replied their email 3 days ago telling them that I've not received any confirmation email. And again, they said they'll try again to send the email, but until now......... still no email coming from them.
Blah, I dunno what's wrong with USC pharm admission service. I start to believe they're lying =.=

I don't wanna call them coz I'm sure I might yell at them. My patience in waiting for email confirmation has reached its limit. >.<

i got one too but darn, it's the SAME DAY as for UCSD.

i don't know what to do. if i put back USC, it'll be tough later b/c the last one is in march.

guess i have to ask for a delay for USC b/c UCSD doesn't have any other ones right later on?

like you, i have my UCSF interview on 2/9 too. then UCSD the next day. but i already maild my confirmation to UCSD so can't bail out now.

i guess i'll email USC about it since it's later. hopefully they'll understand.

You should be fine...just notify them asap and explain your situation. I'm not sure if they'll actually reserve a space for you in the next interview or if they'll just add you back in with the rest of the applicant pool and start the selection process all over again...but im pretty sure they wont reject you. You don't have much choice anyhow since you've already confirmed with SD.

Read your letter...it clearly states it (EC's, work exp., etc). There is no right or wrong answer, the adcom is just looking for extra info to see what you have done to prepare yourself and preparing can encompass a number of things.

lol b/c i bailed out i think u might have a chance for the one spot for 2/10. my friend had a 3.4 and he got an interview for 2/10.

Actually...I decided to just go ahead with my USC interview. I just thought after having gone through the UCSF as well as UCSD interviews, hopefully the USC one isn't too bad. Besides, I've already delayed my UOP interview so it's not a good idea to do the same with USC. It'll be kinda stressful since my flight from SF won't arrive until 8 p.m., and to think that I'll have to wake up early the next morning to go to LA. Yikes!😴

WOW, i'm glad i got into the 3rd interview because if i don't get in immediately after the interview, i'll still have 1 more chance.

Anyways, I received my invite to this interview yesterday (1/30, very late. I don't know why i received it so late when it was postmarked 1/24 and I live 90 milies away from usc) and I wrote the essay yesterday and then re-editted it today. And now i emailed it to them so yay.

P.S. i like how the interview is at 10:20 AM instead of 8AM.

Hello Everyone,

I was curious wether any of you know specifics about the actual interviews? Heard anything from an alum? Sort of questions they ask, traits they watch for . . . and so on? If anyone feels like sharing I'd love some hints . . .


Also, are there any other people going to the interview that are not from CA?
