hey everyone! hope all is well. I was interested in the following 3 schools in the caribbean for their MD programs: USESOM, IAU, UMHS. My ultimate goal is to practice medicine as a physician in the state of NY with as little delay as possible. I just want to hear everyone's opinion about these three schools and their qualifications, locations, campuses, and even current student feedback! Med school is a big decision and i trust the factual info and opinions of everyone here 👍. Thanks again!

Are these the only three you're interested in? Or are they the only three you got into?

Seriously try for Sgu, Ross, Saba, AUC. This is after US MD and Do schools that is. If none of these options work for you, then consider MUA and AUA. If those are a no go then maybe consider the schools you listed.

Of the schools you listed all i know of them is that IAU is not NY approved, even though the website leads ppl to believe it is. I know nothing about USESOM. UMHS is owned by Ross but that's doesn't really help with knowing how the school actually runs since the ownership is just a title, nothing more.

thanks for the response. From what i understadn ny approval refers to where residency and clinicals are taken place, and thats not in NY. Thats fine with me, because liscensure is independent of those. Ultimately, i want to practice with a license in NY, how i get there makes no difference. I am definitely applying to the BIG 4, however as of now i want to obtain further info about these 3 schools. Thanks 🙂 👍

IF you're going to apply to carribb schools, at least apply to the tier 2 schools like MUA/AUA/SMU

The schools you listed are tier 3/4 and shady.
