hello all ,
is it a good idea to use MCAT verbal books as study material for the RC section of the DAT. Or wil i just be wasting my time ?

probs a waste of time. Read scientific American articles everyday and get a feel for reading quickly and getting the main point/opinion of the story. Getting the authors opinion and the main gist of the story helped me a lot on this section. The MCAT verbal is a whole different thing, not tailored for the dat. Plus i heard dat bootcamp has new RC stuff you may want to check out. I didn't have this new resource when studying but i along with many others did fine without it.

I wouldn't unless you're really desperate for practice. The MCAT passages usually aren't as science-heavy as the DAT passages, and the question style on the DAT is a lot easier (way more questions you can find the answer to directly in the passage, and less inference).
