Vision 2015 from APMA: http://www.apma.org/WorkingForYou/content.cfm?ItemNumber=4471

This is vision 2015 pertaining to DPM education in a nutshell: http://www.aacpm.org/pdf/aacpm poster 2013C.pdf and http://www.aacpm.org/pdf/2014CurriculumGuide.pdf

Is it being pushed? Yes and no. It takes a lot of time to change laws and a lot of the goals of vision 2015 require change in laws.

If you want to follow the progress you can check APMA news. They usually post something about it every month or so.

Every thing I have seen in the vision 2015 is out of date (2013). Slcpod: You mentioned apma news articles. I could not find any updated ones. Do you haven't you have any other links to a newer articles?

JAPMA - May/June 2014 - Volume 104 entitled - Doctors of Podiatric Medicine—On a Pathway to Becoming Fully Licensed Physicians and Surgeons?: An Evidence-Based Analysis.

Take a gander at the above article if you want to grimace and groan. For all the "similar" and "virtually" talk we just aren't there yet.

I have to apologize. The information that I am referring to comes from a log in required portion of the APMA website. It hit me as I was going through the APMA news/APMA young physicians tabs on APMA. My apologies again!

Here is the previous issue of APMA news. It has an article specifically about residencies and the improvement of education as well as an in depth look at the first class that will be an outcome of vision 2015.
