I posted this in clinical rotations too. Which schools do not accept DO students for visiting electives? I have heard Wash U and Rush do not for sure. Any others?
You're wrong about Vandy according to their website:
"Students from Osteopathic Medical Schools may apply to Vanderbilt University School of Medicine for Visiting Student Clerkships. Please send your application to the address listed below. Once an application is received, it will be sent to the appropriate course directors to obtain departmental approval before the School of Medicine will approve and place the applicant."
I just looked up UNC out of curiosity and it appears that they allow osteopathic students, although it says students must be in LCME-accredited school, it lists requirements for visiting osteopathic students.
They very recently changed their policy, and now they only allow CCOM DO students to rotate there. Which school are you at, and what year did those guys do their electives?
