VMCAS Fee Reimbursement

So this was commented back in August, but I was wondering if anyone had any news on this. During this past cycle, there was a VMCAS Fee Reimbursement that you could apply for through the AAVMC's website. You had to supply your parent's past tax return info (ss#, addresses, income, etc...) and supposedly have the opportunity to get your first VMCAS fee covered (totaling around $200). After multiple attempts to contact the AAVMC and VMCAS, I have had zero luck figuring out what has happened with all of this.

Has anyone received a notice about your fee being covered or has anyone been able to figure out what's going on? I'd prefer it if my parent's tax return is not just stranded on the internet somewhere...

Yeah, I was the one that asked about it. I ended up randomly receiving a check in the mail maybe about 1-2 months after I submitted all the necessary information. I know that it was for a limited number of people too, but I have no idea if/when they stopped reimbursing.

I'm super frustrated about this. I was told the check was coming, then told it returned with a bad address but everything checked out. He then sent it out again and nothing. Now he won't answer my emails!!! It's supposed to go to my work address now but it's like they stopped caring.

I applied for the reimbursement as well, but I've heard nothing at all.

I just checked my old emails. I applied for reimbursement 9/2 ad got an email that I had been granted reimbursement on 9/18.

Don't remember exactly when the check came after that but it was at least a couple weeks later. At any rate of you never heard anything at all I would be looking into it because I definitely got email notification (which I had forgotten about).

I assume you at least received a confirmation email when you applied?

I never even received an email that I was granted it. I applied for it on 8/14 and received an email confirming I applied, but that was it until the check showed up.

Weird. I wonder why I got an email and you didn't.

I also got an email saying I was selected, then got a check a few weeks afterward!
