So, I misplaced the paper that had all of my shadowed hours/days on it. I can't remember the exact number of hours/days spent shadowing, but I could come up with an estimated number of hours/days. However, I was wondering if this would be alright with medical schools, when I apply? Do medical schools check up on the accuracy of volunteer/shadowing hours? I'm still looking for the paper, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to find it eventually. Has this sort of situation happened to any of you and how did you manage to deal with it? Thank you all for the advice. 🙂

Ok, that's a relief to hear because I still haven't been able to find that paper. Do medical schools even ask for the number of hours/days or do they just ask which doctor/institution you shadowed or volunteered at?

For volunteering, an estimated numbers of hours per week plus start/stop dates should work. They will want to know where.

Some of the schools want contact information for shadowing. You don't have to give exact dates but you might want to put the name of the doctor, city/state, specialty, hours, etc.
