Hi y'all! I'm new to SDN. I had to turn in my apps later this year because of a family emergency. I'm waitlisted at UT Galveston, Dartmouth, and U Michigan. I haven't heard back from Baylor yet, so I'm probably waitlisted. I have an interview at the new Seton Hall school but I'm feeling anxious as all get out

My school has a wait list of 25-30 and take 20 off (or so they say lol). But I swear it feels like no one is withdrawing this year. :bang:

But you have to remember a lot of people may withdraw in a little if they get off a WL somewhere else! Most of the WL movement may not be from April 30th and initial acceptance withdrawals but may be from people who think they're going but get off the WL somewhere they prefer and then leave

Also, many schools actually accept more students than they have spots up front in order to account for those who receive multiple acceptances. So, you have to wait for all of the "extra" students to withdrawal before they start taking people off the wait list.

Can anyone please share the waitlist info for Penn State? They don’t do post interview rejections so I’m thinking it’s a large waitlist.

Anyone know the Einstein waitlist stats? I'm on the HPWL there and 2 other waitlists, hope we hear some news soon!

For schools with unranked waitlists, does movement start on May 1 or do they take a day or two to review the waitlisted students before they typically start offering spots?

I think it depends on the school

I hate to be that guy - but can someone share the waitlist info from Duke per the MSAR?

Typical number of waitlist positions per cycle
100-125

Number of acceptance offers granted to applicants on the waitlist
10

Waitlist procedures and information
Wait-listed applicants will be notified initially by phone from the Associate Dean of Admissions for the Committee on Admissions after contacting the holding school.

Can anyone please help me look up waitlist stats for Tulane?
I’ve heard from 1-2 sources that they accept something like 66% of all interviewees (including waitlist). Hoping for some movement too cause it seems like everyone’s dropping it haha

I'm gonna go and hop on this train and ask if someone with MSAR access could release the waitlist info for Loyola? 😳

Just checked, and unfortunately, there's no info provided regarding their waitlist.

Holy crap there’s already been more WL acceptances today than I expected - didn’t think many schools were that fast. That’s awesome, congrats to everybody who got their first today, or does tomorrow/next week!

Has anyone had any experience with an MD school telling you "your GPA is fine considering the breakdown of each year (AKA strong upward trend)" but then get on the WL or rejected due to a lower c/sGPA? Or am I being paranoid?

pretty much happened to me. "if you are interviewing your numbers are ok." only to find out, "you interviewed well, but your numbers are low"

PREACH. I had the same false hopes. Lucky enough to be accepted somewhere, but holding out hope for my top choice.

When taking off of the WL (assuming its not a strict ranked list) do schools actually take into account your likelihood of attending now since its after the multiple acceptance deadline and closer to first day of classes? I feel like during the regular cycle, especially earlier when people have multiple accepts, likelihood of matriculation probably doesn't matter as much as it does for WL accepts or am I wrong?

I think this is school dependent.

I think its also time dependent. Like filling spots May 1st vs. end of July. Some schools may also try to maintain ratios. Like if X numbers of females who were originally accepted decline, they'll accept females first to meet their quota.

Do most school email or mail out there acceptances? Im waiting on snail mail

I know a school that snail mails acceptances but once they start pulling people off the waitlist they switch to emailing/calling only to save time.

Can anyone share the waitlist MSAR info on Emory? Thanks so much in advance!
