Employment: 900 hrs (and counting) Registered Dental Assistant, 300 hrs Dental Patient Care Coordinator, 600 hrs nanny, and 200 hrs peer tutoring in science/math courses
Research: 100 hrs Drosophila gene annotation research with 1 poster presentation at the regional Node Meeting (annotations contribute to public genomic databases with potential future co-authorship)

Yes, I have done lots of research. OU = Oklahoma. I chose my OOS options by where I would be comfortable going and where I could actually see myself.
i guess that's why you only have 3 out of 4 texas schools and skipped creighton and nebraska

you get interview invites and acceptances by having mission fit- "comfortable going" and "see myself" are not mission fit
to a lesser extent, geography plays a role- schools will assume you are going to a texas or central/mountain school and may be hesitant to offer interviews and acceptances
this is why it's important to research schools OOS and especially TX acceptance rates and choose wisely...

all that said, you have an awesome GPA, solid DATs, and incredible ECs, so you have a better shot than most...
 
See, you should have also applied to Texas Tech El Paso. I think it’s common for some Texans to leave that one out which means less competition for you. It is pretty far west but it’s a city of more than a million people with a dedicated teaching faculty to make sure you do well.
