I was just wondering what are some good questions to ask the hiring manager at the hospital (hospital pharmacy technician job interview) during the interview to show that we are interested about their workplace.

1) Is this a teaching hospital? Do you get pharmacy students who are on their rotations working at this hospital? How about pharmacy technicians? Do you train them here too?

2) As a technician, what are my roles and how can I become more productive?

3) How many prescriptions does the hospital do on an "average" day? Does the pharmacist (and to a lesser extent, the tech) get to work with doctors side by side?

4) Are you a Democrat or Republican? 🙂

Those are great questions posted by PharmacyAdvisor.

The best and most noticed employees are those who make the manager look good (yes, even if s/he's a bumbling idiot!). Try asking the manager: What are your responsibilities? How can I as your technician help you meet your goals?

Also, if you're asked situational questions in your interview, answer them as if you already worked there!

Let me know if I can help you prepare for the interview, and good luck.

I always ask, "What skills, education, and experience do I need to get your job?"
