No idea. It was on my list of questions for Janet Webb when she gets back from vacation.
Thanks!! But do we put the DVM degree too? (It is expected, after all...)Hi! I think it's all the previous degrees. See you guys SOON!!! So excited 🙂 Oh, and I remember seeing info on computers and boots etc in the student manuals for previous years, but I did not see anything in ours?
In first year there's not really many occasions that you would need scrubs; in fact, zero. Unless you wear them under your lab coat in the anatomy lab, basically all you need is a lab coat (a dirty one if you choose to wear one in the anatomy lab), coveralls, and a lab coat for physiology lab (most people upon receiving their white coat just wore those). Even if you do cageside rounds, you just need a white coat. I brought scrubs to keep in my locker in the even that we had really dirty anatomy labs - and some of them are, but others just wore their coveralls.@dls116 , I was told we don't need scrubs, as we wear scrubs provided for us in the teaching hospital and then they stay there and are washed on site (to prevent spread of disease I assume, it was the same thing at the zoo!). Which is too bad because I have a billion pairs of super cute scrubs!

I assume that's the type of thing they were talking about when they said we'd be getting more details on some things by email. *shrugs* All I've bought so far in that department is a pair of steel-toed rubber boots (I figure you can't go wrong with those) and I do want to upgrade my laptop before school starts. It's a few years old already, and I could just see it dying in fourth year and taking all of my notes from the past 3.5 years with it....
do any currently WCVM students have any advice on whether or not to buy a printer?
I have plans to purchase a B&W laser printer for ease of printing, but that will depend on what is needed.
I personally will be printing out lecture slides (if given) and I will be hand writing notes over them (call me old fashioned)
But in addition, are there lots of paper- based assignments that need to be submitted?
I'm not sure. I looked around the main bookstore and couldn't find any but they had lots of aisles blocked off because they were full of boxes and workers were stocking the shelves. I buy all my text books online anyway so I wasn't too worried about finding them when I was there.@Cracker.Jack. I see on the other thread you've checked out the bookstore. Is our stuff in the main bookstore or the medical one?

Ok cool thanks. I'll take another crack at it tonight. I was like "field course"... oh wait, that's not one of the choices....
